Itinerary
Gateway of India
Time: 9:00 am - 9:30 am
Located at the tip of Apollo Bunder and faces out the Mumbai Harbor and Arabian Sea, this 30-meter-high basalt arch was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Mumbai for their formal proclamation as the Emperor and Empress of India in 1911. Nowadays, the gateway is a favourite gathering spot for locals, travelers and photographers and is surrounded by various vendors selling foods and souvenirs.
30 minutes
Elephanta Caves
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
An hour long ferry ride from the dock near the Gateway of India, you will date back to the period between AD 450 and 750. You will arrive at the rock-cut Hindu Temples - Elephanta Caves Island, which is a renowned Unesco World Heritage Site. The tour guide will accompany you walk through the labyrinth of cave temples and introduce.
3 hours
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya
Time: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
A walking distance to Prince Wales Museum from the Gateway of India, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. Mumbai’s biggest and best museum displays a mix of India-wide exhibits. This is a superb place to explore history of India. Whilst it has some amazing artifacts and historical descriptions of the pieces, you also can find the Chineses and Japanese rooms of particular interest but like all museums it is what suits your personal interest.

Time: 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
A spectacular scene and quite an experience you should have in your must-visit list in Mumbai. This biggest human-powered washing machine has been working more than 130 years. It is also called the world's largest outdoor laundry. Every day hundreds of people beat the dirt out of tons of soiled Mumbai clothes and bed sheets, hangs to dry in thousands of open-air troughs. The best view is from the bridge across the railway tracks near Mahalaxmi train station. You will be marveled and impressive by this dynamic colorful scene. Dhobi Ghat also represents the suffering India from another angle.
30 minutes
Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum
Time: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Truth alone will endure, all the rest will be swept always in the tide of Time. - M. K. Gandhi
It's a pretty, two-storied structure where the great man Gandhi once lived. The museum now houses a reference library with over 2000 books, a photo exhibition depicting some of the important events in Gandhi's life, and well-preserved memorabilia, including an old charkha or spinning wheel that Gandhiji used to use.
