Overview

The tour starts from the historic center, the beating heart of Naples. I will tell you about the birth of the city, of the Greek Naples, and you will know how the most ancient inhabitants of Neapolis lived; of how the Pizza Margherita was born, of Naples, the European capital of music. You will visit legendary castles. You will know everything about the crib tradition and why Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. You will learn about Neapolitan culinary traditions and how street food is born in Naples; you will taste the typical products of Naples. You will visit the seaside village of Santa Lucia, a magical place where time seems to have passed. The tour continues with a visit to the Spanish Quarters and the historic Pignasecca market. The tour will give you the opportunity to get in touch with the true soul of Naples, knowing its uses and traditions, it will give you the curiosity to feel Neapolitans among the Neapolitans.     Castel Nuovo, called by the Neapolitans Maschio Angioino, is a historic medieval and Renaissance castle, as well as one of the symbols of the city of Naples. It was commissioned by King Charles of Anjou in 1266

    The village of Santa Lucia is almost a world apart, a place frozen in time. Among council houses and Art Nouveau buildings, between alleys and panoramas over the Gulf, there is the village at the foot of Monte Echia which is part of the history of Naples: it is here that the first Greek settlers arrived 2,800 years ago.

The Greeks arrived here and founded the city of Neapolis 2,500 years ago.

Excellent history of the city with Pizza

Excellent tour of Naples with so much history from all the different rulers over the centuries. Nino did a great job of clearly explaining all the history and tying it all into the landmarks, buildings, and monuments as we walked through the different sections of Naples. And to end the tour we had the most excellent Pizza at an iconic pizzeria.

Best day trip to Naples! Nino went above and beyond during our day trip, he picked us up from the train and even took us back! He was so knowledgeable, passionate and gave us the true local experience filled with traditional street foods and historical facts as we walked all over Naples. We had delicious bites and were able to see all sites we wanted!! Highly recommend booking Nino, he was the best! Thank you again!!
