    Your guide will greet you at your hotel or residence, before whisking you away to Mt. Pilatus.

  • Pilatus Luzern

    In Lucerne, your guide will escort you to the Pilatus Bahn and begin your ascent to Mt. Pilatus. We'll make a little stop at Fraukmuntegg, where you will admire the beginning of the Swiss Alps and the cantons that formed the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Then, you will board the iconic “dragon ride” aerial cable car, where we will float in a giant glass cabin. The windowed walls provide 360 views of the Lucerne region, and many compare it to the experience of flying. Enjoy an ever-changing perspective of the Alpine landscape as historic Lucerne pulls back into focus as we approach the end of the line. The ride is a highlight of any trip to Mt. Pilatus.

    Afterward, you can keep soaking up the stunning valley views from the restaurant or enjoy a leisurely hike to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. I had the pleasure of experiencing a private tour to Mt Pilatus wth Lake Lucerne last year, guided by the reliable Jonas. Punctual as always, he picked me up from my hotel in Lucerne and led us through a scenic journey via train and gondola to reach Mt Pilatus. Jonas showcased several breathtaking viewpoints, enriching my appreciation of the majestic surroundings. The tour concluded with a tranquil cruise on Lake Lucerne, offering a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Jonas's expertise and companionship once again made the experience memorable. This being my second mountain tour with him, I continue to appreciate the wealth of knowledge he imparts, enhancing the enjoyment of each excursion. Jonas did a fantastic job from the moment he met us in our hotel lobby until we returned 5+ hours later. He was a wealth of knowledge on the local area and customs. He was very polite and a pure pleasure to be with our family for a full day tour. Very professional and knew exactly how much information we could (and wanted) to absorb along the way.

We loved Lucerne and I would make sure to spend a day there. But if you can manage a second day, this trip is very worthwhile. Gorgeous scenic views, relaxing. Beer at the top is nice too.
