This tour was Absolutely Spectacular!! Learning the History of Mount Etna and its history was so Amazing!! There is a very special energy there, for sure! And the Alcantara river will, also, take your breathe away! Experiencing the icy cold water, while feasting your eyes upon the magnificent geological sculptures created by mother nature is an experience you do not want to miss!!! It is Mind Blowing!! But what made my experience extra special was our Beautiful guide, Claudio!! His passion of Mt. Etna and his homeland was definitely felt and greatly appreciated, beyond words!! There is no better way to experience these extraordinary sights other than from a local! You can feel the energy of these magical places come alive through their words and passion!! Grazie Mille, Claudio!!!

We had the most amazing time. We were a group of aids and We were catered to. Our tour guide Lorenzo personalized our tour and never rushed us. He went above and beyond and Spent more time with us. He provided us with instructions and followed through with everything. This is definitely a do not miss tour.

I am traveling in Catania with my parents and although this was an expensive venture with the additional cost of the cable car and vans, I think it was worth it to have done it. It wasn’t very strenuous at the top and we still got to see it. If I am to return one day on my own, I would likely choose one of the more athletic versions. Which you can choose to add on to climb to the top as an additional tour. We didn’t think the tasting was a money grab like others have commented. We enjoyed it very much! They were very kind and we did not feel pressured to buy anything at all. Alcantara was beautiful. The only issue was that I had emailed to ask about swimsuit or not and they told us that the water would be too cold to go in. It was cold but we still wished we had been better prepared for clothes that could get wet and walk through the thigh deep water We would have brought water shoes or sandals that would have made walking in the river easier, had they not said that the water would be too cold to get in. I think it was just a miscommunication. Our guide, Lorenzo, was very sweet and informative. It ended up just being us so it was nice to go at our own pace. Overall, great experience!

This was such a fun and memorable tour! It was treacherous up on Etna that day with wild winds, so our wonderful Tour Guide Andrea, pivoted and lengthened our tasting of the amazing food and wines grown and made on Etna herself. Probably one of the most memorable days of our whole trip!

A full-day tour of the Mt. Etna and Alcantara rivers from Catania was booked, which also encompasses a culinary experience with a sampling of local cuisine. Our guide for the tour was Lorenzo. He is an amazing person, very knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and culture of the region. He took us on a mesmerising journey through the picturesque landscapes of Mount`enta and Alcanta, providing insightful commentary along the way. The tranquilly and serenity of ETNA's silence were truly captivating. It allowed me to connect with nature on a deeper level and appreciate the raw beauty of the volcanic landscape. The food tasting experience was a delightful addition to the tour, allowing us to savour the flavours of traditional dishes that perfectly complemented our exploration.
