Overview

The best way to explore the sacred valley is going by bike enjoying the sceneries around Maras town visiting Moray and Salt Mines riding in a nice Trail. We start our tours In Ollantaytambo or we can go to pick you up from your hotel around de Sacred Valley previous request with no cost, (Except from Pisaq Valley Or Cusco). The guide will be waiting for you with the driver who will join you for the whole tour. All of the necessary equipment and the bikes loaded up in the car we will head the adventure towards Moray where we will visit the archaeological site before we start biking. This route has beautiful views of mountains and glaciers that surround it. The guide will stop at certain points so that you can rest and take awesome pictures. We will reach the pre-colonial village of Maras continuing biking to the salt mines, a beautiful pre-inca architecture wonder, here you will see local people producing salt for local and international consumption.

A great morning out!

Really enjoyed this. It's always hard to gauge route difficulty, but if you've done any sort of mountain biking you shouldn't have any problem with this. Plus, if you've not, just take it easy or there's no shame in pushing (down or uphill!). Amazing scenery and Jose and crew are fantastic- friendly and helpful. Could've done with another trip but time constraints said no to us booking one more. A great way to get out and about and definitely the best way to visit these sites.

We had a blast on this tour! Jose Manuel is one of the best humans i’ve ever met! Very knowledgeable and passionate about his heritage. His English is fantastic and created a very fun day for us. We plan to return again next year and do a different tour with him. Thanks again, Brother!

I booked the Abra Malaga tour but we did the Maras and Moray tour instead. My husband and I are active but this was a humbling experience- it was out of our comfort zones in a good way! Our guide Jose was so kind and patient with us novice mountain bikers! But above and beyond that, he was so passionate about explaining the sites and the history. He has a true love and respect for the history and the land. I really enjoyed this part of the tour. It’s such an affordable option and you get so much out of it. We really enjoyed our day with Jose. One of the best of our trip. Thank you to Jose and our driver!

Jose is very knowledge about the places we visited and very very patient in guiding me during the bike tour. I was not very experienced on mountain bikes and I hiked the bike a lot, but Jose waited and helped me carried the bikes when the trail became too much for me, and I really really appreciate his patience and thoughtfulness. With his help, I managed to bike my way to the salt mines and enjoyed great view of the sacred valley. Really appreciate it.
