This 4-1/2 hour cruise departs daily from Keauhou Bay and includes 2-1/2 hours of snorkeling at pristine Kealakekua Bay, snorkel gear, instruction, floatation gear, high dive, two 15' water slides, and environmentally friendly reef-safe sunscreen.

Great Experience on the Fairwind II

An extremely enjoyable experience!! The whole crew made it especially fun!!! The breakfast was wonderful and the lunch was even better. Customer safety is their top concern and was also very informative trip. Many Reef Fish to see and easy enough for beginner snorkelers with the use of floatation belts, tubes and view boxes. Captain John was super as was Chris (& the rest of the crew!)

We have been on the Fair Winds morning snorkel cruise twice now and we would recommend to everyone. The boat is a large catamaran that’s plenty stable. The plant based meals are awesome. The captain takes time to investigate marine life on the way to and from the snorkel site. There’s almost 2 full hours of snorkeling in a pristine area. For the whale/dolphin watching, breakfast and lunch, and the best snorkeling, it’s definitely worth the price!

Fair Wind functions very efficiently to book and modify reservations for their tours. The trips are punctual and well organized with knowledgeable and competent staff. I love their cultural representatives who provide historical and current information on native peoples in Hawaii. There is also a strong emphasis on sustainability via composting, recycling and sustainable, local foods served. The snorkeling location is gorgeous with crystal clear water. The staff are very helpful to everyone, novice to expert. The snorkeling equipment is in great condition. And the slides and diving platforms on the boat are lots of fun!

Beautiful bay, cold water, great crew.

Very professional crew, great boat. The boat holds 93. There were 65 on our tour, but it felt like much fewer as there is plenty of room on the boat. We had good breakfast on the way out, and even saw a few whales in the distance. The snorkel site is gorgeous, with plenty of fish to see. The bay is fed with cold fresh water springs, though, and was colder than I was anticipating. After 15 minutes I was shivering so hard I had to get out. If you're at all cold natured, I'd recommend a wetsuit for this swim. The ship had lots of gear for all levels of swimmers, from float belts, to inner tubes, to floating view boxes so you didn't have to put your face fully in the water. Lunch on the way back was tasty as well.

Great snorkeling, crew, and food

The snorkeling was great! We saw lots of fish and coral. Also saw several whales on the trips to and from the bay. The crew was friendly and informative and the food was outstanding!
