Overview

Embark on an exploration of Melbourne’s sporting culture, following a path originally designed to welcome guests to the 2006 Commonwealth Games, leading to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of this legendary stadium, with access to change-rooms, media areas, and even onto the ground itself. Leaving the MCG behind, you'll uncover a series of Melbourne's major sporting venues, including the home of the Australian Open Tennis Championships, the headquarters of Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Rebels, spectacular AAMI Stadium, historic Olympic Park and a visit to the home turf for two Aussie Rules giants, Richmond Football Club and Collingwood Football Club, where rivalries run deep. As you wind your way back along the Yarra River, pass more sporting grounds, statues and rowing clubs. This captivating journey seamlessly blends Melbourne's sporting passion with its stunning urban landscape, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

Excellent Sports Complexes walking tour

Excellent walking tour. The guide was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Even though just two of us went on this tour, unlike many other tour operators, this company didn’t cancel our tour. Only because of their commitment to customer service, we were able to visit the sports complexes and Olympic park. Thank you so much for making this possible for us.

What an excellent experience this was. Neil the tour guide has an immense amount of knowledge about the sports venues in Melbourne, even those not on the tour. And a big kudos for still running the tour with only one participant i.e. me. A lot of organisations would have cancelled so for this to still run was very much appreciated.
