Overview

DISCOVER LUCCA COUNTRYSIDE AND ENJOY A PICNIC IN THE NATURE IN A FAMILY WINERY An easy afternoon trip in the Tuscan countryside on the first hills just around Lucca walls. Following our directions you will leave Lucca walls behind avoiding local traffic, thanks to the Puccini cycle path and the Serchio river white road. Once in the countryside you will enjoy some easy ups and downs among olive groves and vineyards until you reach the winery. The farmer will warmly welcome you at his estate and will offer you the picnic box with tastings of local foods and his wine and you can choose where staying on the grass to enjoy it. You can take your time, relax in the nature, visit the cellar and ask the farmer for additional wine tastins if you are a wine lover (extra cost). We wait you back at the shop before 19.00, after an easy ride back (about 30 minutes). Difficulty: Easy/Moderate Lengh: 15 km + 5km back usually 1,5 hours + 30 minutes by bike

It was amazing! The e-bikes were in great shape. The Tuscan countryside makes you feel like a movie. The vineyard and the owners were so nice and the wine was delicious. We ordered two cases to be shipped to our home in the US

Wonderful EBike ride and wine picnic!

We had a great time and the ride made easy with the fun to ride E-bikes! The scenery was beautiful by the River and the sunset sky coming back into Lucca was gorgeous! We loved the wine picnic and the setting in the vineyard. They are a small production 4th generation family run winery since 1894. We enjoyed the wine and bought a bottle for later. Definitely would recommend this tour!

A delightful afternoon biking and picnicking with friends

Our adventure started with the very helpful bike hire people. All sorted with bikes and instructions, we headed into Italian traffic (we may have not correctly navigated ourselves). We then found a pleasant, no-traffic path which lead us onto country road lanes, surrounded by beautiful villas. The tour and explanation of past and current wine-making techniques was interesting. We enjoyed the wine, picnic and bike trip back to base. A great way to see and experience rural Lucca.

The E- bikes we were provided with were excellent, the route that was planned was a mix of urban roads, very quiet back roads and cycleway. A lovely section along the river was a highlight - the visit to the winery was a delight, the young lady who guided us around was informative and provided interesting information about the vineyards history, all accompanied by a lovely picnic and a half bottle of the vineyards red wine. I fully recommend this trip to others.

Turns out I was not ready for that long of a bicycle ride. They called us a taxi instead. They didn't have to do that. Very kind of them.
