We were doing a trip to Tanzania and Kenya following the migration. We reached two days early in Arusha and on the 2nd day of our arrival we went to Lake Manyara National Park for some feeling of the game drives and birds of Africa and some wild animals.
Our driver cum guide for the drive was Peter, who was a wonderful spotter and was quite knowledgeable. For the whole day he accompanied us and took extreme pains to show us the animals and birds for which we had come to visit. Because of unseasonal rains, Lake Manyara was full to the brim and the flamingoes were not to be seen. Blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, elephants, impala, warthog, zebra, hog deer and bush buck graced the occasion with Hamerkop, Red billed hornbill, silver streaked hornbill, ibis, oxpeckers, shrike, woodpeckers, yellow vented bulbul and many more.
The trip was wonderful and Peter was such a great guide that made our journey with packed lunch memorable. The picnic spot views was really great and time spent was worth it. We forgot our shades in the car and next morning Peter came back to our hotel to return our shades a great gesture from him.
