Overview

Discover the spectacular Lake District National Park with a cruise on Windermere before explore the historic towns and quaint villages of Cumbria. Enjoy a locally-sourced cream tea at Lindeth Howe. Join us to learn about the culture and history that has made the area a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Embark on a captivating tour with a knowledgeable and friendly driver-guide abord a comfortable Mercedes mini-van. Our small vehicles allow visitors to venture off the beaten track, experiencing the traditional Lake District countryside in an intimate and immersive way. Attractions included: The tour includes a cruise on Lake Windermere and a locally-sourced cream tea collectively worth £20. From the April 1st 2025 - 31st October 2025 passengers will enjoy a Windermere Lake Cruise followed by a journey through Leven Valley at the southern end of Lake Windermere on a heritage Steam Train. Cream Tea is only available until the 31st march 2025.

It was fantastic even with the bad weather. The guide was so nice and knowledgeable. She also had the wisdom of suggesting a bit of a change in the schedule because the weather that we agreed was a good option.

An incredible outing - even in the pouring rain!

This tour was an excellent way to squeeze The Lake District into my family's Liverpool vacation. I felt like we truly got a feel for the beauty and history of the region with each of our stops (I could have stayed for hours in each stop, but completely understand the brevity based on how many places we were able to see!). We weren't lucky with the weather, but it was beautiful nonetheless - I even think the overcast skies and rain added to the atmosphere. David was an excellent guide, making sure we had toilet breaks along the way and giving very clear instructions on how much time we had in each spot and where we'd be meeting him. We had to skip one of the lookout spots listed because of the bad weather conditions, but David brought us to Wray Castle instead, which I absolutely loved. If you're looking to see The Lake District in a day, I very highly recommend this tour!
