Overview

The Kingdom of Fife is a beautiful area to the North of Edinburgh. With its industrious towns in the south west to the picturesque fishing villages of the ‘East Neuk’ and the world-famous home of golf and University town of St Andrews. Fife has a varied and interesting history and is an important region in history and in modern Scotland. Book this bespoke private tour and see more of the sights of this beautiful area complete with the guidance or your knowledgeable driver & guide. Our tours are conducted in our premium Mercedes Minivans with plenty of baggage space, air conditioning and complimentary water & snacks for each guest. It is also possible to visit the fantastic distillery at Lindores Abbey.

    We stop to take in the views of the Forth Bridges at South Queensferry and drive through its quaint Main Street.

    We will stop to admire Falkland Palace and its history, with the option to visit the monument if you wish.

    The home of golf, a must for all golfers and fans alike. View the famous fairways and cross the world-famous Swilken bridge

We had a wonderful time on the tour. There were 6 people in our party (2 adults, 2 seniors and 2 kids ages 9 and 4 years). Our tour guide Calais was brilliant. To the point my 9 year old son kept asking questions and was entertained by the stories told by Calais. Highly recommended!

Where to start... this was an amazing experience with Experienced Tours and our guide, Alan. We arrived in Ediburgh on our Viking cruise early in the morning and were greeted by very thick fog. Viking did not allow any tenders to go out. Of course, we and our friends were anxious about making our scheduled time with Alan. After waiting on the ship for 3 1/2 hours, the fog lifted enough for us to catch a tender to the port. Waiting for us in his traditional kilt attire, Alan greeted the 4 of us and we had a discussion about what we could accomplish in the smaller amount of time we had for the day. Our main goal, being avid golfers, was to see St. Andrews. Alan thought that perhaps we only had time to see the city of Edinburgh, but then looked at his watch and calculated that we could actually do it. So we quickly headed out into the country, and we made it to the course for pictures, a stop in the pro shop and a drive through the picturesque town. As I had planned this excursion with Sandy of Experienced Tours well over a year, our expectations and excitement to see St. Andrews was at the very top of our excursion list on this 15-day cruise. Sandy and Alan did not disappoint. In fact, on the way back to the ship we still had a little bit of time to drive around Edinburgh and had a "wee" bit of whiskey back at the port! We highly recommend Sandy and his company for any excursions in the Edinburgh area. We will always be grateful for the amazing day they provided us.
