A chocolate experience to remember! See and touch the fruit of the chocolate tree, and learn all about how the beans are transformed into delicious chocolate. Have fun making your own Scottish-themed chocolate to take home! You can even make a chocolate Greyfriar's Bobby, a chocolate Nessie or a chocolate Edinburgh Castle! Next, come to the tasting room with a wide selection of chocolates from both Scottish and international chocolate makers. There are over 30 varieties to choose from including Haggis chocolate, Japanese chocolate, chilli chocolate, gin chocolate and many, many more. Finally, wrap your delicious chocolates to take home to enjoy or give as a gift. Chocolate samples are provided throughout the tour. Vegan or milk-free options are available. Suitable for adults and children aged 6+. (Not suitable for children under 6)

Wow, what a fantastic experience! So much information, hands on making, and tasting everything- from the original 14th century Aztec chocolate drink to 2017 Ruby chocolate; from pure white cocoa butter to 100% dark chocolate, and dozens of flavours in between! Really knowledgeable and friendly staff. Exceptionally good value and highly recommended!

We visited the Chocolatarium during a recent trip to Edinburgh. As soon as you open the door to the cute little shop you are met with the smell of delicious chocolate and the shop is full of wonderful goodies. The tour itself is great fun, very informative and interesting for all ages. Our tour guide Monica was very knowledgeable about the whole process, she was very personable and witty making the tour both fun and interesting for everyone. During the tour you have the opportunity to taste chocolate from various parts of the world and also to make an individual bar of chocolate to take home with you. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is a great activity to do when in the city. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to others.

This was a great experience. It was an hour and a half of fun and info. Our chocolate spirit guide was Kelly, a mixture of sass and knowledge. The experience starts with some info about where chocolate comes from, how it's traded, and a delicious chocolate drink. After that we moved to the kitchen where we learned about processing the nibs and tempering the chocolate. Then we got to make our own chocolates to take with us. While they were cooling we sampled more chocolate of course! Highly recommended.
