Overview

In Hakone Gora, a famous travelling spot next to Tokyo, you can enjoy the scenery of mountain, flowers, grass and lake. Escaping from the city vibe in Tokyo, you can watch the tea master to brew a Japanese tea in front of you. Drinking the Japanese tea with Kimono brings you a perfect relaxation. Additionally, you can make your own Bonsai after teatime. During the DIY session, you can enjoy the moment that you are fully into it which can make you forget all the stress and pressure in reality. Finally, wearing the Kimono and walking around in Hakone will be the perfect match that provide you an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary

Once you have arrived our tea cafe, our staff will bring you to the first floor. You can choose the Kimono and then our staff will help you to wear it well. After that, you can enjoy the Japanese tea and Japanese sweets. After the teatime, it will be the optional activity - handcraft Bonsai. If you have selected to join the handcraft Bonsai class, you will be brought to the classroom. The Bonsai teacher will teach you how to make a Japanese Bonsai. All materials will be prepared for you. You can focus on making your own Bonsai with wearing the kimono. After all the event, it will be your free time. You can go for a walk or take some photos. The latest returning time of the Kimono will be 16:30. Please note that a cash deposit will be necessary before the event starts. It will be refunded after you returned the Kimono.

Very memorable and great pictures, the ladies running the shop were lovely!

We enjoyed the experience, the women running the kimono rental and tea shop were super knowledgeable and hospitable! We were unaware that the kimono rental was available all day; I can see this as an appeal but we wanted just the photos and tea ceremony. I might advise 2 price points here for each (all day rental vs photos and ceremony only), as moving in a kimono is not the easiest feat for a foreigner. Giving 5 stars because they gave us MORE than we thought we would get. I simply might have planned better if I was more aware of what I'd bought. All folks we interacted with were very kind and knowledgeable. A memorable experience for sure!
