Overview

When coming to San Miguel, many times people come with different expectations, and sometimes finding your way around may be difficult. On this tour we like to welcome the people and introduce them into our city. People will learn abput the colors of Mexico, the magic of the people and the charm of the town. We will have a wonderful walk learning about the city, the history, the architecture and many tips on how to have the best trip while you are here in San Miguel de Allende.

Right outside of the Starbucks coffee, meet your guides with the Red Polo Shirt and a big smile. The corner of Starbucks yellow building has two signs with the names of the streets: Hidalgo and Canal.

Itinerary

  • House of the Counts of la Canal

    In this first stop we will talk about the family who "brought life" to San Miguel.

  • Bellas Artes

    On this tour people with learn about the history of the City. Through our walk people will be able to see how buildings are telling you a story behind its doors, its colors. In this former Convent we will appreciate part of the religious history of the city and how it ended up being an art center.

  • Templo de Nuestra Senora de la Salud

    In this part of the tour we will talk about the Oratorio Church, Our Lady of Health Church and the Plaza Cívica.

    30 minutes

  • Plaza de la Soledad

    Learn also about the cultural history of San Miguel. The walk through the streets will give us opportunity to discover many secrets. In this plaza with a beautiful monument, used to be a big building... we will discover this together.

  • Church of San Francisco (Iglesia de San Francisco)

    Churches were a fundamental part of the history if the city. On San Francisco church you will see how the architecture of the city changed through the centuries and nowadays is still an important part of the History of San Miguel.

  • Ignacio Allende House (Casa de Ignacio Allende)

    In this stop we will learn more about our local hero Ignacio Allende and learn how the city got its name.

  • Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel

    To end the tour we will finish at the Parroquia of Saint Michael the Archangel. The most iconic church in San Miguel that has captured moments of thousands of tourists from around the World.
