Montreal has a lot of haunted drinking establishments to enjoy a few drinks while soaking in the paranormal, from fancy nightclubs, venerable burlesque halls and dive bars to ancient inns, brew-pubs, taverns, emporiums and other drinkeries! Montreal is clearly the best metropolis to mix booze with creepy ghost stories, an ideal place to pour back some libations while pondering the city’s brutal and sordid past and the ghosts that resulted from the worst of crimes and circumstances. While Dublin City, Ireland has around 15 haunted pubs and Savannah, Georgia, “America’s most haunted city”, has around 25 paranormal bars, Montreal has over 40 of these haunted drinking haunts. Led by a professional ghost storyteller, the Haunted Montreal Pub Crawl visits 3 haunted pubs. Guests will not only learn about many of the haunted drinking establishments in the city, but will also hear Montreal’s most infamous ghost stories.

1. McKibbin’s Hear about the mysterious McKibbins Irish Pub, the ghosts of Griffintown and the famous McTavish ghost story! 45 minutes

2. Sir Winston Churchill Pub Learn about the popular Sir Winston Churchill Pub, Nick Auf de Mar's ghost, and Montreal's vampire serial killer! 45 minutes

3. Hurley's Irish Pub Visit Hurley's Irish Pub and learn about their burning lady ghost story. Also, hear about the ghosts of Club le Cinq and the very popular Mary Gallagher ghost story! 45 minutes

Tour guide was very personable and interesting storyteller! Great sense of humor and very knowledgeable, too! Thank you Jason! The 3 pubs were accommodating and welcoming! Would definitely want to go on the other haunted tours when we return!

Had a great time! Way better than a trip to the movies!!! Not really a ghost hunt more like a storytelling adventure. Our Guide was extremely friendly and funny. He worked very hard to make everyone feel included.

Ghosts in the pubs

Highly recommend the pub crawl as pubs are indeed haunted. Jason, our guide, was animated and a very good storyteller. Lots of detailed history made fun provided informative laughter. You will not want to go to the loo alone. Bring a buddy with you to make sure you don't get possessed by the ghosts whose spirits soar the pubs.

It was fantastic and very interesting and interactive. The tour guide was really passionate about the history or the buildings and really captivated the group. Lots of silence intense moments where the whole crowd was leaning in listening for more!
