Overview

Escape the city, and taste the fresh air in the wilderness of the Connemara National Park. En route to and from the National Park, your driver/guide will give you a detailed insight into the region. They will tell you all about the traditional music, the local language and strong culture that still thrives in this wild part of Ireland. At the National Park, you will have two hours to explore the area and take in a hike. You can also visit the welcome center which has tea rooms, picnic and toilet facilities.

Connemara tour with James

Excellent experience. Our driver James was personable and knowledgable. He was also courteous and an excellent driver of the bus. Despite the poor weather, my wife and I really enjoyed the park and James's banter about the language, history, and culture of the region.

Beautiful trip to Connemara National Park thanks to our tour guide Sean S. Made several stops to and from the park and Sean S. historical knowledge was very much appreciated. A beautiful day filled with beautiful memories .

Stunning tour with a great guide

We had an amazing time with our guide Sean! He had loads of stories and fun little facts to tell about Galway and Connemara. The routes through Connemara were stunning and we had a wonderful experiencing hiking up to the peak of Diamond Hill (careful: it’s a steep hill and you only have 2h for the hike - needs some endurance and experience with hiking - average time needed is 2.5h). The stops along the tour were well chosen and Sean always had interesting facts ready for us and was happy to answer questions. He even added some extra stops for photos and to take in the scenery. Just be a bit careful if bus rides easily make you feel queasy. Overall a great tour if you enjoy great views and hiking. And if you prefer not to hike just choose the Kylemore Abbey tour. We can only recommend Lally Tours to anyone visiting Galway.

An enjoyable and memorable tour.

We were part of a group that travelled to the Abbey and then to the national park. A well-planned tour with much to see and do. Our driver/guide, Sean S. was exceptional. His commentary, knowledge, humour and engaging way made our day quite memorable. This was our sixth tour while in Ireland, and Sean S. was by far the best driver/guide we have had.

The tour could not have been better. It covered every place promised, including wonderful views of the Connemara. The office staff was helpful, professional, and fun. Our guide, Mike, was extremely knowledgeable, quite entertaining, and took very good care of us. We highly recommend this tour---and can't imagine doing this on your own.
