Overview

Departing from Galway at 10:00 AM, you begin your fully guided tour of Connemara & Cong at our first photo stop near the scenic Inagh Valley. Our main stop is the enchanting Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens. The admission fee for Kylemore Abbey is charged separately at the discounted price of €12 per person (tickets are purchased in cash from your driver). Admission includes entrance to the Abbey, the shuttle bus to the walled gardens and entry to the Neo Gothic Church. There is also a restaurant where you can purchase a hearty lunch and a gift shop for souvenirs. After this visit you explore the wilder Connemara regions visiting Killary Fjord and experience the stark beauty of the valleys of Connemara through the hidden Lough Nafooey route. Arriving in Cong village, you will enjoy a 45-minute break to inspect the ruins of the Old Abbey and take a walk in Cong Woods, wander the streets made famous by the Quiet Man movie before returning to Galway by approximately 18:00

Very good day trip to Connemara. Mike B was an excellent driver and tour guide. We didn’t get bored on the trip. The scenery is absolutely beautiful.

Mike was our driver and had all of the local knowledge you would need to make it a great day. It’s a long day and hits all of the spots. Wished we had more time at the Abby and the gardens as well as in Cong but that is to be expected. Tour company and guide are first rate

Had a great buss ride, With Mike, had a lot of fun on the tour. Mike had a ton of information and great stories. We had really good weather for our trip, sunny very little rain.

Mike the tour guide was lovely! Such a kind, warm and personable man with wonderful stories about the area and the Irish history. Really made the day special. I loved the tour and would recommend to all Galway visitors. You get to see Connemara and here the stories without driving - perfect! I could not have learnt as much solo. A great trip!

Both the views and the tour were amazing. Tommy was a well informed guide who did a wonderful job sharing the history of this lovely area. I would 100% recommend. He new the best places to see the countryside and get the best photos.
