End with a relaxing mineral-infused and beautiful thermal pool surrounded by wonderful nature. No matter what season or level of expertise there’s always something interesting for everyone to enjoy. The gardens are exuberant all year with impressive century-old trees, huge collections of colourful, rare and strange plants, specialty gardens, beautiful avenues with sculptures and fountains, and dazzling year-round blooms of fragrant flower tones for the eye, nose, and camera! Off season touring is the best!

Our guide was friendly. The weather was great and the included lunch was amazing! Saune answered our questions and proved to be very knowledgeable on many subjects.

We booked this tour last minute when another tour cancelled on us. We were pleasantly surprised that we were the only group on the trip! We had a great time with our guide from the UK (apologies, but I forget her name!) and learned a lot about Furnas and the neighboring towns.

Enjoyable and Easy

I usually tour on my own either solo or with my family. Tried an organized tour this time. It was a terrific tour of Furnas. Our Guide, Frida, was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. It was like hanging out with a friend for the day who was super helpful. Saw and learned things I would have missed if on my own. Time was well spent, didn't feel rushed.

Knowledgeable and kind tour guides made this tour super fun! Nice view point locations have been selected for it. We enjoyed Terra Nostral hot pool a lot! We highly recommend this tour.

A great trip to Furnas with lunch!

After our whale watching tour, we took the tour to Furnas and the Terra Nostra Botanic Gardens. Our guide, Sona, was very knowledgable and shared a lot of information about the areas we drove through, the Furnas area and the Terra Nostra Gardens. We had a typical Furnas lunch that was cooked in a fumerole near the little restaurant before we proceeded to the gardens. Sona lead us around the gardens telling us the history of the place and showing us the wide diversity of plantings there. We then changed and went into the hot springs pool for a relaxing soak. After we dressed, Sona showed us the fumeroles and then we stopped by the local lake and she told us the history of the gothic church by the lake. It was a great afternoon.
