Overview

You didn´t have the time to read your guidebook and want to see as much as possible of the island in a day? Just let a local do this for you. This is an intense full day tour that allows you to see all of the island in one day, in a pleasurable way! The Grand Circle includes all of the volcanoes and main lakes (Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo and Furnas), and we cover the best viewpoints, from one end to the island to the other. Along the way we make sure that you also visit the tea plantation and grant you the chance to try one of the local thermal pools, all must see highlights of the island. Expect some driving to allow reaching all of these places, the roads and views along the way are itself worth the journey, and your guide makes sure you have plenty of stops to enjoy them, and also some time for coffee break/lunch. This is the way to go if you only have a short stay on the island, or if you want a first introduction to all of it before you explore it on your own.

Greatest tour in Ponta Delgada

Wonderful custom day

Carlos was friendly and great with our 2 and 5 year old girls. Car seats were ready to go for them and he even buckled them in for us which helped us get settled quickly as we had such a short time on the island during a cruise port stop. Carlos’s was knowledgeable and gave us historical and current affairs information. We stopped at a view point with a chapen on the hill and our girls loved seeing the cats who live there. Carlos came prepared with cat food for them to feed the cats! He was flexible and allowed our kids to be kids. We also enjoyed learning about his life and his kids, as well. We appreciated the flexibility of picking and choosing what to see and do and would definitely book with Carlos again!

A truly personalized full day tour of the island, with breathtaking views and fascinating historical insight that truly blew us away. On top of it all, my fiancee and I are expecting our first child on July, and it's not an exaggeration to say that every comfort and consideration was made available to her every step of the way.
