Itinerary

  • Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

    Drive through the entry station of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Park Entry Tickets are required to enter the park. These can be purchased online prior to your arrival or from your guide in the morning of your tour and are valid for 3 days.

    As you start your sunrise trek around the 12-kilometre full base trail of Uluru you will gain an understanding of the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this monolith. Your guide will tell the cultural (Tjukurpa) stories of Kuniya (woma python) and Liru (venomous snake), and many other Aboriginal creation stories associated with this central Australian icon. Along the trail you will witness sunrise, visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients and learn of Uluru’s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people.

Tour guide Peter was knowledgeable, professional, and kept us together and moving along on the walk. He was very informative about the native culture. There are 2 bathroom breaks , one at being of walk and another at about 3 hrs into walk , so be prepared.

A great way to experience Uluru. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we felt like we were in safe hands given the extreme heat. Getting up close to the rock and seeing it from every angle was so special. I highly recommend the tour.

If you are fit enough to walk 8 flat miles around the base of Uluru (it’s not that difficult) then I highly recommend you put this trip on your bucket list. Arriving at the rock before dawn, with its massive imposing presence, and then walking around it, learning something of aboriginal culture and stories, watching the rock change colour with the light, minerals and weather flow was wonderful. Our guide Lily was top notch. Memorable.

Incredible sunrise base walk around Uluru. Took about 5 hours with breaks for water, food, and information given by our guide. Our tour guide, Max was amazing. Super knowledgeable of Uluru and the surrounding area and very friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Uluru.
