Overview

At the foothills of the famous Sainte-Victoire mount , enjoy a full day wine and cheese tour. Discover an authentic goat farm and walk in the vineyard to learn about pruning and organic wines. With your wine expert guide, discover the best of this wine region: powerful reds, aromatic and lively rosés. Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault… learn about the grape varieties and these different terroirs. Visit the cellars while learning about the wine making process and aging-potential wines. Enjoy free time to lunch and stroll in the elegant and lively city of Aix en Provence.

Meeting points

Departure time: 9am Departure point: Place du Mazeau, 13002 Marseille (Aka Place Bargemon) There is a bus stop (blue sign for Bus 49) on the street: your guide will meet you there, holding a "Provence Wine Tours" sign - you can look for it.

Itinerary

  • Aix-en-Provence

    You will meet your english-speaking wine expert guide in front of our meeting point (centrally located) in Marseille. Your guide will drive you in a clean, comfortable & A/C minivan. Around 10am, you will arrive to the wine region of Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire. In the morning, visit and tastings at 1 winery and a goat farm (cheeses tastings). Get about 1h45 free time for lunch in the lively city of Aix en Provence. In the afternoon visit a 2nd winery. Return to Marseille at about 4.30pm (same place where we met) You will taste some of the finest Rosés from Provence but also powerful and well-balanced reds, aromatic and lively whites. We offer you the opportunity to see different ways to work : from the winemaking & aging rooms to the bottling lines, you will see everything! Your guide will also explain you about the soil, the climate, the grape varieties, the famous "terroir" but also the picking, pruning, harvesting and many other subjects in a relaxed and educational way.

  • Access to the goat farm is on foot via a small dirt path. Please bring suitable footwear.
