I will wait under the famous L'Ombrière de Norman Foster, the polished steel canopy reflecting visitors walking underneath designed by Norman Foster. This is right next to Vieux Port metro exit.

    Walking around the port, observing main attractions discussing the rich history.

    We will enter the historical neighborhood discussing the history, observing plazas, houses, shops, and street art. Can stop for a drink!

  • Centre de la Vieille Charite

    We will observe the old asylum from the 17th century discussing the history.

  • Cathedrale de la Major

    Enter the cathedral admiring the incredible structure

  • Mucem

    Pass through on the way to the fort, admiring the beautiful terrace and architecture.

A must do when you're in Marseille!

This was a wonderful walking tour and I'm so glad we decided to do it in Marseille with Sarit. Sarit did a wonderful job introducing the city to us and its rich history. She shared a very interesting and relevant history that helped us appreciate the city even more. The walk itself provided many opportunities to look at the city from a different perspective (and take photos!). She also gave us some good tips about what to visit during our stay here. I highly recommend Sarit for the walking tour. It will definitely help make your walk around the city more interesting!

Sarit was a fabulous guide! She was so knowledgeable about the history of Marseille and was able to apply her expertise to the local area, including to specific buildings, businesses, artistic works, local specialties and so on. Sarit was early, friendly, happy to answer any and all questions and generous with her time. You could tell she really enjoys what she does. We have done a lot of walking tours, and Sarit genuinely was the best guide!
