Overview

We want you to know every corner of Puerto Rico. For this reason, in this adventure, we will be visiting three different unique destinations on the north coast of the island. Visit part of the karst area; the rock formations in this area have formed an unforgettable landscape toward the Atlantic Sea. Enjoy the stunning views from this area and learn about the rich and abundant history of Puerto Rico. We continue our journey to the mountain and visit one of the most impressive caves on the island. The visit will be carried out by experienced and informed guides to give you the best possible experience and finally, we will be going a little further into nature where will visit two waterfalls where you can enjoy the rest of the day on the river. If weather conditions are dangerous, we will visit a natural spring instead. This is an active tour which requires moderate physical activity and basic swimming skills.

Itinerary

  • Cueva Ventana

    Explore one of the most impressive cave system in the Occidental area with a small group and private guide. Will start on a clean trail down into Cueva Clara, the hike through a beautiful sub tropical forest surrounded by lush vegetation and lime stone formations. Ones we arrive to the cave, will venture in to explore, admire and learn about its formations, ecosystem and history. Continuing to our second cave; a hidden gem with a breath taking view of the Arecibo River.

  • Rio Tanama

    Cool down and enjoy our hidden waterfalls while river trekking into one of the karstic zone canyons. Once we complete a 15-minute hike through the water and beautiful rock formations, we will reach one of the most impressive waterfalls in the northern region. Once there, you will be able to swim, go under the waterfalls, and do some cliff jumping (all optional at the second waterfall). You will get wet and enter the water up to chest level (we provide life jackets). Important: If the weather does not make it safe for us to enter the water, we will go to a natural spring instead.

  • Cueva Del Indio

    Learn about the Taino Indian culture and history. Our experienced guides will help you explore the secret cave overlooking one of the most beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean in Puerto Rico known to be in the Caribbean to contain the most Tainos petroglyphs. Our hike will start along the beach up into the seven arches cliff on arenisca stone. Is important to wear sneakers or close shoes to be able to hike safely on this type of rock formation. Along the way will be able to see one of the most breath taking views on the north side. Ones at the entrance of the cueva del indio will be able to admire all the petroglyphs from above the cave opening. For our adrenaline seekers, with the help of your guides we can venture into a unique cave filled with wonders. Its important for travelers to have good balance walking on uneven surfaces.

Full day tour with fun activities

This tour has a good selection of activities: you go into caves, hike across the river and climb on top of the Indian cave. The views were great too!

Amazing experience with my family of 4, twins ages 8. All 3 stops have different unforgettable experiences such as climbing behind a waterfall into a tunnel, swimming the river, the breath taking views from both the arches on the beach and cave onto the countryside and river. Gabriel, our guide was very nice, and the lunch spot was fire! I recommend trying the pernil

Excellent Full Day Experience!

What a fun adventure! Our guide picked us up at our hotel on time and then picked up the others who were going on the tour. She did an excellent job coordinating and driving the van. The first stop was the waterfalls. Beautiful! She was very knowledgeable and also very helpful with those who chose to jump off the the falls. Very fun!. Next stop was the "bat caves" where she handed us off to the guide there. Again super knowledgeable and engaging. Our lunch stop was well enjoyed by most, but not much to chose from if you're vegan. The stop on the beach with the walk to the caves was another highlight. So much to see and learn. Everyone had an excellent time and felt like we'd been on a grand adventure.

Everything was amazing. The tour guide. The actual tour, the views and activities. The food we stopped to grab. I really thoroughly enjoyed the experience learning about the Tiano culture, it gave me insight to my own lineage and expanded my knowledge of their people. Everything was worth it even the exhaustion afterwards. Thank you for such an amazing tour
