Our guide Eduardo was incredibly knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, fungi, and area. Definitely a worthwhile trip if you want to see a lot of birds, get up close with crocodiles, and explore the trails at Carara spying bats, monkeys, frogs, plants, fungi, insects, and learn about the ecosystem. We had a great lunch afterwards too. We were a small group of 3 plus the guide, so we were able to move about and see a lot.
The drive to and from the park can be lengthy with traffic, but that was a great opportunity to chat more with Eduardo about ecotourism, his work with wildlife rescues, and his nature photography. Would highly recommend this guide and tour. Tour was easy to book, easy to schedule pick up/drop off, worth the $, and would love to do more tours with Oropopo my next trip!
Sincerely, a giant nature nerd :)
