Overview

Hello and welcome to Nuremberg. As a Nuremberg native, I would be happy to present you my hometown. The focus will be on Nuremberg's "Golden Age" of the late Middle Ages with its craftsmen, traders and patricians. We visit, among other things, the main market, Kaiserburg and Tiergärtnertorplatz as well as Nuremberg's most beautiful half-timbered street. Of course, we also learn about Germany's greatest artist, Albrecht Dürer, and other personalities who shaped Franconia's capital. Unfortunately, a direct path from Nuremberg's "Golden age" leads to its romantic transfiguration and to the misuse of the city's reputation for the National Socialist "Party Rallies" and ultimately to complete destruction in the WWII. But this shouldn't be the end. The reconstruction of Nuremberg gave the city back its identity. It would be a pleasure to guide you through Nurembergs history and culture. Of course, you will receive all the information you need about your stay, including recommendations on restaurants and other sights. See you in Nuremberg.

  • Altstadt

    On our free walking tour you will experience Nuremberg's old town with enthusiastic locals. In 2.5 hours we offer you an entertaining mix of history, legends, interesting facts and useful recommendations for the rest of your stay. We visit sights such as the main market, the imperial castle, the churches of St. Sebald and St. Lorenz but also hidden corners such as the castle gardens or the executioner's house.

  • Kaiserburg Nurnberg

    Nuremberg Castle is the landmark of the city of Nuremberg. Historically, it consists of three parts. The imperial castle, the burgrave's castle and the imperial cities buildings.

  • Hauptmarkt

    The Hauptmarkt is the central square in the old town of Nuremberg. Here you will find sights such as the “Beautiful Fountain”, the “Frauenkirche” and, as the crowning glory, the “Männleinslaufen”.

  • Albrecht-Durer-Haus

    The Albrecht Dürer House is a medieval house that was built around 1420 and got its current appearance through the modernization that Bernhard Walther had carried out after 1500. From 1509 it served as Albrecht Dürer's home and work until his death in 1528. Find out everything you need to know about Nuremberg's most important son.
