Overview

Nada is the Japan's largest sake producing area and area has long been home to a number of sake breweries. "Nadagogo", the five sake-producing districts is well known in Japan and internationally as some of the best in the world. This is more than an ordinary gastronomic tour for Sake lover—escorted by an experienced licensed local guide, you’ll be introduced to sights that tell of Japan’s rich culture and history of Sake, regaled with fascinating stories, and even meet some of our local brewery heroes throughout shops that still retain the authentic atmosphere of days long past. Sawa no Tsuru Museum

Sawanotsuru is one of the major sake breweries. This museum is in the building of the old factory, and introduces the process of making sake and old facilities.

Kobe Shu-shin-kan Breweries

Kobe Shushinkan is the brewery making the sake named "Fukuju". The guided tour of the factory is held and the restaurant and shop are opened every day.

Hakutsuru is one of the major sake breweries. This museum is also in the building of the old factory, and introduces the procees of making sake and old facilities.

Hamafukutsuru is a new brewery founded in 1996. This brewery has produced high-quality sake in the up-to-date factory. We can visit the factory every day except Monday.

Hakutakarokusuien

From the time of the company’s inception, Hakutaka has continually strived to preserve SAKE brewing traditions and culture as one of the Nada district SAKE breweries. Subsequently, Hakutaka Rokusuien opened in 2001 as a cultural facility with the aim of passing on various SAKE-related information both inside and outside of Japan.

Sakagura Dori Rengakan

The Nihonsakari head office is facility which opened aside in 2000 (Heisei 12). In brick modern building, glass studios are at sampling corner of sake sale corner, the Japanese restaurant "flower height". As base disseminating information of sake, we carry out various events including two times a year of storehouse difference events.

We had a great experience touring New York City with Jonathan. He's a great tour guide and he made it very memorable and enjoyable. My friend and I had a wonderful time on the Sake tour. We learned all about the process of making Sake. Norio Oki is an excellent guide. He was so accommodating to our special requests which included dietary restrictions! The lunch was delicious and the walking tour from to each location was beautiful!

Great communication from our guide Norio Oki. He told us how to get to exact station from downtown Osaka to meet him. We toured multiple breweries and museums and had a great lunch in one of them. Norio was very knowledgeable and keen we understood the Sake making processes. The sake tasting was ok but not the best quality but we learned which to buy later - we didn’t buy on the tour.

Nada Sake Tour

I took the Nada Sake tour with my tour guide Norio-san. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the sake making process. I learned so many things about sake that I had no idea about before touring with Norio-san. He also pick out a fantastic restaurant for a Kaiseki lunch. I highly recommend the Nada Sake tour with Norio-san.

A MUST DO IN KOBE!!! Amazing Sake Tour and Kobe Beef Lunch Experience

This tour was amazing! We visited a mix of traditional and more modern sake breweries and the mix was perfect. We learned so much about the sake making process and the history behind it, it made us appreciate the process and the product even more! Yumiko was our guide and she was absolutely incredible. She was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and fun! She had an incredible knowledge of the sake history as well as Kobe beef history. She had incredible recommendations on the route of our tour and where to have our Kobe beef lunch. The Kobe beef lunch was INCREDIBLE. The beef was prepared impeccably and the accompaniments were amazingly delicious. The chef at the restaurant was top notch and provided the best service to our family, even accommodating vegetarian/pescatarian diets. I cannot stress enough how amazing this meal was! If you are wanting to have a truly authentic Kobe beef experience, this is your place! Our group was made up of 4 adults and 2 children (6 & 8 y.o.) and this tour was perfect for children to be included. They enjoyed the sake tours and the Kobe beef lunch just as much as us adults! Kid friendly tours might be hard to come by, so it was a relief that this tour was kid friendly. I can’t recommend this experience enough. BOOK IT!!! And ask for Yumiko because she was absolutely amazing!! This was one of the best days we had in Japan, most definitely. We love you, Yumiko!
