Explore the island by bike (the only form of transport – cars are not allowed), discover secluded beaches, snorkel among the reefs and meet the local wildlife. You have the option to depart from Perth or Fremantle.

Well worth a visit, and a amazing experience

We had a great experience at Rottnest, the boat journey over was great, we hired bikes and that was a great way to see the island, we had lunch at pinkies which was really good. The island is so clean and the people that work on the island are so friendly. The beaches are incredible.

The Ferry and Bike pick...

The Ferry and Bike pick up were very easy and good managed. On the Island you had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful nature and go for a swim.

Great way to get around the island. You’re issued your own individual bike and snorkel gear and you’re free to explore anywhere and everywhere. If you want to explore the whole island, make sure you’re in decent shape with those hills in the middle of the summer. You definitely get a good workout.

The cruise from Perth on the Swan Riverbwas beautiful! The shop was smooth with on board concessions and toilets. We had a second stop at Fremantle where the boat got extremely crowded and noisy. You were not able to hear any announcements, which created confusion in the process of issuing bikes and Snorkeling gear once at the island. Maybe utilize the television screens for basic instructions. Otherwise, a fun day! Definitely recommended! Be aware that the boat ride back may be a bit rocky depending on the atter winds. Don't let that stop you from seeing this beautiful place! Definitely go when in Perth!

This was just what we wanted. We got a really good ~ 1 hour river tour on the way from Perth to Freemantle with descriptions of the sites of interest along the river. The boat sped to ~ 44 knots on the way to the island and was a really fun ride. Then, the staff was crazy-efficient at getting us our bikes and helmets quickly. We were on the bike in minutes and on our way. The hotel restaurant Lantara was a real bonus. It had a "bottomless" Sunday brunch which was excellent and a fabulous value. How lucky to be on Rottnest at 25 degrees, since it was nearly 40 degrees in Perth! We had the best time and I would highly recommend it to all who want the ferry and bike ride!
