Overview

This entire day tour will allow you to get to the base of the summit craters of the Etna; the ascent to the summit will be performed either by cableway and off-road vehicles (on the South-East side of Etna) or by off-road vehicles only (on the North-East side of Etna). Once at the summit, you will enjoy an easy hike at the base of the summit craters accompanied by our naturalistic expert and a volcanological guide. Afterwards, you will explore the incredible volcanic underground by visiting one of the striking volcanic cave of the Etna, and then, after a lunch based on local typical products, you will visit the amusing Alcantara Gorges.

Experience the ascent up to the base of the summit active craters up to 2900 meters of altitude. Visit of a volcanic cave of the Etna.

An excellent tour of Mt Etna!! Our driver/guide, Tony, was fantastic. Clearly passionate about Etna and the surrounding area, he was extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic about the tour. He gave us excellent back ground information on the drive to Etna and was also very organised with all of the logistics. Also loved the stop at Alacantara Gorge at the end of the day. Highly recommend this tour!!

Absolutely wonderful small group tour of Mt. Enta and gorge. The day started out raining, but it eventually cleared up and we had a wonderful trip. Our guide Daniele was amazing! Lunch was at a natural winery with excellent views of Mt Etna. Hiking shoes and jackets were provided. Would highly recommend this tour!
