Overview

Kuiburi National Park is the only place in Thailand where more than 320 protected wild elephants live and you will have the unique 99% opportunity to see them in this untouched wildlife. In addition to Asian elephants and gaurs, the other relatively common mammals are golden jackals, various deer, langurs, white-handed gibbons, Burmese hares, Malay porcupines and wild boars. Kui Buri has a rich fauna of birds with over 260 species currently. Crested falcons, grey peacock pheasants, ferrous partridges, Tickell's brown hornbills, white-crowned hornbills, brown fish owls, yellow-ventilated green pigeons, white-fronted dwarf-eared owls, mustache hawks, red-necked hornbills, blue-collared parrots, chestnut-nickel fork tails, red-bearded bee-eaters, maroon woodpeckers.There are also birds like the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller and Asian Openbill bird or even gaurs and leopards.

  • Kui Buri

    Kuiburi Visitor Center is a 1-hour drive away from Hua Hin by air-conditioned car. You will swap the vehicle into a 4-wheel pick-up car, on seats on the open back of the car. Before the Tour Guide show you around the Visitor Center and give you useful information about the Park

  • Kui Buri National Park

    There are still about 320 Protected Wild Elephants living in this National Park and you will see them coming out to eat. Let's also visit the beautiful dry-moist forest and we can spot some birds such as the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller and Asian Openbill bird! Sometimes we could spot some Gaurs, Leopards.

Elephants everywhere

The driver picked us up on time. Very friendly. Felt safe driving to the Park. Was very knowledgeable about the elephants and where to see them. Had water available and umbrellas for the sun if need be. This was a 10 out of 10.

Amazing guides, Amazing place

I went on this trip knowing I may not see elephants as I wanted to see them in their natural habitat and that's the risk you take. Both the driver and guide were amazing, my husband was ill and couldn't go but they looked after me so well. Making stops to show me pineapple plantations along the way. Once there, we swapped to an open truck. The guides at the elephant sanctuary accompanied you but dont speak English, so having a guide who interpreted and was quick to show me other wild life was amazing. The area is beautiful and worth the trip it's self, but both guides worked together to get you quickly to where elephants have been seen, I was lucky enough to see twenty in total. This was an amazing trip made better by the care provided by my guide and driver. I would recommend and will return hopefully with husband this time

Elephants were beautiful and there was many of them there. There were also different kind of birds and buffalo. Tour guides were very helpful and professional.
