Overview

With this half-day tour, combining scooters and walks, you'll be able to see the monuments of the Parc du Chateau de Versailles ( locations of future Olympic Games) built on 600 hectares, as well as the groves and gardens of the Chateau (77 hectares). With a maximum group size of 7, this guided tour will give you the feeling of being a VIP. A refreshment break is provided in an unusual location near the Grand Canal. We'll lend you a Go Pro to film your discovery.

Meeting Point

We meet under the equestrian statue of Louis XIV. It is located on the Place d'Armes of the Chateau de Versailles. When I confirm the reservation, I always send photos of the meeting place on Tripadvisor. And don't forget to give us your phone number so we can contact you if necessary.

What To Expect

1. Le Grand Trianon Before stopping at the Grand Trianon and discovering the pink marble colonnades, you'll have stopped at an old gate where the village of Trianon once stood. You'll then drive along the paths around the gardens of the Hameau de la Reine to the Grand Trianon. 10 minutes

2. Le Petit Trianon After the Grand Trianon, a stop is planned opposite the Petit Trianon. You'll see the difference? 5 minutes

3. Grand Canal You'll ride around the Grand Canal, or if you prefer, you can use other paths (less frequented by tourists) to admire an exceptional view of the Chateau. 10 minutes

4. Jardins du Chateau de Versailles With your guide, you'll discover the 77-hectare gardens of the Chateau de Versailles on foot. 2 hours

5. Bassin de Neptune Your visit to the gardens will surely begin at the Bassin de Neptune. After discovering the only statue with the face of King Louis 14, you'll head back up to the Chateau's terrace. 10 minutes

6. Bassin du Dragon You'll discover this fountain on your way up to the Chateau's terrace. A dragon in Versailles? 5 minutes

7. Le Bassin de Latone the Castel behind you, the Bassin de Latone overlooking the Grand Canal. Are you ready? 5 minutes

8. Piece d'Eau des Suisses After discovering the gardens, you'll get back on your scooters to see this water feature, located outside the Parc du Chateau de Versailles. 10 minutes

9. Le Potager du Roi You won't be able to visit this 9-hectare kitchen garden, but you will be able to stop in front of the gate used by King Louis XIV to enter his kitchen garden. Do you know what kind of vegetables he liked? 5 minutes

10. Versailles depending on how much time remains in this discovery, you may return to your starting point by passing through the old quarter of Versailles.

11. Grandes & Petites Ecuries In front of the Grandes Ecuries, near the equestrian statue of Louis XIV, you'll be equipped with helmets, gloves, vests and walkie-talkies. You'll be introduced to driving an electric scooter. Once you're ready and comfortable, you'll set off, accompanied by a guide, towards the Parc du Chateau de Versailles. (The time at this point depends on the number of participants and the amount of time you've been given to learn to drive the scooter). That's where we'll be coming back too. 15 minutes

12. The future equestrian sports for the 2024 Olympic Games 5 minutes

Scootin' Through Versailles Parks

We had a wonderful time scootin' around the huge Versailles park, with JB. We would never have been able to walk or see the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon or the Grand Canal... Which was very grand. We felt safe and well informed by our guide JB. He took wonderful photos and videos of us as we explored,.. and sent them to us right away. A NEW WAY TO VISIT VERSAILLES.

Electric bike and walk the Versailles Gardens & grounds.

This was a wonderful way to see the Gardens and grounds of Versailles from top to bottom and side to side, outdoors in the fresh air on a beautiful day. JB was very patient, instructing us on how to use the electric bike. He provided everything we needed, including windbreakers & the GoPro to film us. He gave us the camera SD card after the tour as a record of our experience. We stopped for a coffee break between walking the Gardens and biking around the grounds, a total of 4 hours. I highly recommend this thoughtfully planned tour, with a built-in history lesson of Versailles and King Louis XIV.
