NOTE: Please arrive 15 mins before tour start time to set up. Kids under the age of 13 yrs old can join us only on private tour options! Let Riccardo show you the best places and secret spots of Edinburgh on his Ultimate City Tour! Riccardo has been riding and guiding, day in day out, in the European Alps and Scotland for nearly a decade. You'll struggle to find anyone with as much skill, enthusiasm and experience in the field of bicycle guiding. Riccardo is a professionally qualified UK bike guide and he is up to date with Outdoor First Aid certification, training and child protection qualifications. With all of this training and experience he is able to provide top class, safe and knowledgable guided rides to all levels and group sizes, both in the city and out in the mountains.

    We will visit Edinburgh Quay, the eastern terminus of the Union Canal.

    We will stop at Bruntsfield Links, an historic and picturesque golf course.

    Edinburghs largest public park, gorgeous green space with views of the old Royal Infirmary.

    This hidden gem will act as a portal to the country side...

  • Arthur's Seat

    We will be in the Secret Garden on the edge of Holyrood Park to get up close with the volcanic rock of Arthurs Seat

    Did you know Edinburgh has a beach? Not only does it have a beach it is a gorgeous sandy stretch with beautiful views over to the Kingdom of Fife.

    Leith has a rich and varied past, this area is full of interesting features and it is very proud of its working class maritime history. The architecture is eclectic and it is not a modern trendy part of town

  • Water of Leith Walkway (Pass By)

    We will head back towards the New Town of Edinburgh following the Water of Leith on converted railway lines.

  • Calton Hill

    We wont visit Calton Hill proper but we will have an excellent view from the edge of the New Town looking back towards the city.

  • New Town (Pass By)

    We will travel through Edinburghs New Town Georgian streets on our way back to the start/finish point

Bike tour in Edinburgh

Had a fabulous bike tour! The guide-Stuart- was super flexible and let me change the day of the tour at the last minute. Then the day of the tour- it was just me- so fabulous 1-1 tour- you really get to see quite a bit of Edinburgh and Stuart was very knowledgable. He shared lots of history and lots of information about landmarks. You should be comfortable cycling! I opted for the e-bike but only used Eco mode rather than Manual one time for a hill- so likely quite feasible for relatively fit to use a regular bike (but I did appreciate the e-bike on the hill!) Highly recommend this tour as a great way to get a broader view of the city out to the ocean in Porto Bello and Leith. Mostly on small trails- with just a few times in traffic on the roads and a few cobblestones near Leith.

Amazing Journey.

Great guide and an amazing journey. Really liked the stop for a quick snack. Bikes were easy to ride, we saw a lot, and strolled at a great pace. Though I didn’t have an e-bike it was easy enough to keep up. However there was one part that was uphill that was a real challenge. Pushed through to make it up the steep hill. It was a workout but felt satisfied.
