    Dive into an easy come, easy go kind of kayaking experience. Enjoy spectacular scenery of the City of Dubrovnik, UNESCO World Heritage Site, craggy coastlines and unique natural beauty, in the sea, on land and in the skies above. Our local kayak guides will introduce you to sea kayaking on the tranquil waters of the Adriatic Sea and tell you all about Dubrovnik’s history and modern days. We love questions, so don’t hesitate to ask whatever comes to your mind

    The Island of Lokrum, located right next to old Dubrovnik city centre, is one of Croatia’s most iconic nature reserves. The scenery is spectacular, with clear turquoise water, special forest vegetation and secret coves - Fisherman's /pigeon cave. Many mysteries and stories surround this beautiful gem, including the great legend of the Lokrum curse. Our guide will tell you all about it. We’ll also make several stops to capture picture-perfect moments by the island, including the famous Game of Thrones filming locations.

    A true traveller knows that the treasures worth talking home about usually take a bit of work to uncover. This is one of those treasures. Betina Cave beach is completely hidden inside a cave. It can only be reached after swimming or kayaking. But once at the beach, there is plenty to do. There are beautiful reefs in the water, perfect for an afternoon spent snorkeling. Of course, there’s plenty of room on the beach for sunbathing with the perfect view of Lokrum Island and Dubrovnik City Walls. And, if you are one of the brave ones, cliff jumping from Betina Cave is an awesome way to get that adrenaline up and running.

    Lazareti in Dubrovnik are a long and narrow building that consists of 10 naves separated by five courtyards, all surrounded by high walls. Completed in 1647, the building would be used as a quarantine station in response to an outbreak of the plague and cholera – a dark past indeed. Located next to the Ploce Gate, Lazareti was built between 1627 until 1647. Its location is significant – situated in front of the main entrance to the Town, from where, at the times, all caravans from the Ottoman territories were arriving in the City as well as right next to the Old Port, the main city harbour. Right outside the city, it was an ideal location for such an institution – merchants, sailors and travelers went through mandatory isolation before being allowed to enter the City (40 days in quarantine).

  • The tour is 7.5 kilometres long. If you are not able to finish it, we will arrange private transportation for you and you will be charged full amount for these services.
  • The tour is English only. You must understand and speak English for safety reasons.
  • Children must paddle in a double kayak with one other adult
  • Minimum age is 10 years old
  • Your guide will be waiting for you in front of Nautika restaurant in a blue T-shirt with our logo and a blue umbrella
  • Please be at the meeting point at least 20 minutes prior to the start
  • Late arrivals will not be refunded
  • Expect to get wet, please wear appropriate clothes such as a bathing suit and shoes that can get wet (tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops)
  • Hats, sunscreen and towels are strongly advised
  • All your belongings go in the kayak with you in a shared 30L waterproof bag. Each kayak will have additional 6L waterproof barrel. Due to limited space please bring only what you need.
  • You will be paddling in a double kayak. Individual travellers without partners are paired up with other individuals
  • An outdoor shower is available on site
  • There are no toilets onsite or along the tour route. Please use the toilet prior to arrival for check-in
  • Our sunset tour includes a glass of wine. Minimum age is 18 years old to consume alcoholic drinks
  • Tour time and route are subject to weather and sea conditions
  • If cancelled due to poor weather or sea conditions, you will be given the option of an alternative tour date or full refund
  • Guests will be charged for any equipment they damage through negligence
  • During the high season, Betina cave beach may be crowded. If this is an issue for you, please consider booking this tour

Awesome tour!

Great tour for a sunset kayak. Guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful the entire tour. Provided us with snorkel equipment, dry bags, and wet suits for our stops along the way! Excellent scenery. Truly a must-do if you are in Dubrovnik!

Great instructors with local knowledge which was really interesting. Loved the kayaking and cave beach, had a chance to snorkel and had a great ending with the sunset and wine!

Sunset kayak tour

Tom and Mick made our kayaking adventure amazing! We were given everything we needed: a dry bag, a water tight case for your phone, wet suits, life jackets and a waterproof jacket for if you feel cold. They supplied everyone with water too, and at the end of it, wine (if you drunk) for a toast. We took the sunset tour and the views didn't disappoint. We had plenty of time to take videos and photos of the sunset and of ourselves - you can ask anyone of the guides to take photos if you want. As a complete beginner, kayaking on the open ocean sounded scary, as time went on, we got the hang of it. You are never left alone, and if you're falling behind they will stay with you. We stopped at Betina Cave which was filled with other kayak tours. Highly recommend wearing or bringing sandals or water shoes for the rocks - they were painful. Overall, I highly recommend these guys as they were friendly, knowledgeable, funny, helpful and made the time fly by.

A must-do!

Prime location and route with a unique view on the city, a stop off at Betina cave which you cannot walk to (definitely take sandals for this part), then towards Lokcrum island before heading off directly paddling into the sunset. They provided; water bottles, buoyancy aids, short wetsuits to go over our swimwear, wind jackets, waterproof buckets and dry bags for personal items. We were lucky with the weather but also lucked out on a great tour company, the perfect balance of safety, knowledge and humour. Mike was friendly, calm and charismatic, clearly he loves his job. Tom was also there helping look after us, thank you both! Incredible experience, I would go again if I am ever re-visiting Dubrovnik.

When you actually come to terms with the fact you're kayaking in the Adriatic Sea - it becomes very surreal! Absolutely amazing tour, best tour I've been on in years. Nick and Tom were amazing tour guides, especially Nick, he was very friendly and knowledgeable in all the interesting history of Dubrovnik; he was engaging and was funny in an effortless and non-cringe way. My friends and I felt very safe the entire time, we had so much fun. They provided a lot of equipment including a wet suit so it was great. I do suggest bringing wet shoes/sandals for the caves though and strong arms for the entire kayak. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed the beautiful sunset and overall tour.
