Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas
the Catacombs located below the Convent of San Francisco de Asís: a historic Lima cemetery whose underground vaults, dating from colonial times, served to bury more than 25,000 people. Basilica y Monasterio de Santo Domingo
Founded in 1540, it is a very special place for the Latin American Catholic community since three characters who today are Peruvian saints wandered through its church and convent daily during their lives. It is the first saint of the continent Santa Rosa de Lima, and the no less well-known San Martín de Porres and San Juan Macías. Inside the church of Santo Domingo, his relics are kept in the midst of a special fervor.
