Overview

This exclusive Private tour will begin with a pick up in Passau or Linz from the harbour where your cruise ship is docked. After we have met, we will drive to the city of Salzburg or other areas of interest such as the Lake District, Hallstatt, or the Eagle's Nest (from May 15 to 31 October). We can always customize your itinerary on the day. Everything is possible. Some of the more popular Tours are: Hallstatt Eagle's Nest (from May 15 to 31 October) Salzburg City Sound of Music At the end of the day you will be transferred back to your ship in Passau or Linz.

    Salzburg City Option - UNESCO, World Heritage Site since 1996, located on the northwest side of Austria, 424 meters (1391 ft) above sea level and with a population of approximately 150.000 people, Salzburg is today the 4th biggest city in the country. In this tour, you will have the possibility of exploring the old town. Your private guide will point out to you the points of interest to make sure you don’t miss any gems. To explore the city, the time for this stop, will be according to the wishes of the traveler.

    Sound of Music Option - Explore Salzburg and Lake District by following the tracks of the world famous musical “The Sound of Music”. A professional guide will take you on this private excursion. Showing you all the movie’s locations that really interest you. This personalized luxury tour is designed to give you the flexibility to pick and choose the venues, including where to go for lunch.

  • Kehlsteinhaus

    Eagles Nest & Bavarian Alps Option - You tour guide will join you on your journey up to the Eagle’s Nest. You will board specially build Busses to drive up the Eagle’s Nest Road, voted one of the most beautiful mountain roads of Europe. This 20 minute bus ride takes us to the bus parking which is located 124 meters below the Eagle’s Nest. We then walk 124 meters in to a tunnel that gives access to the historical elevator. This will take us in to the house itself where your guide will explain how everything was furnished and used during the Third Reich. After this detailed exclusive information, you will have time to explore more of the location. You can walk up to the top of the mountain for pictures and maybe have a refreshment on the sun terrace. There you will enjoy 360 degrees of breathtaking Eagle eye views over the Bavarian alps. If you chose to visit this attraction a stop will be made to explore according to the wishes of the traveler.

    Hallstatt Option - Experience the beauty of the Austrian Lake District, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt, the pearl of the Salzkammergut, on this private luxury tour. Drive along the emerald-green Fuschlsee and stop at its castle; take a picture from a great view point above the town of St Gilgen, where Mozart’s mother was born. Pass by the town of Bad Ischl, the former summer residence of the emperor Franz Josef. You will have 1.5hours to explore Hallstatt, where you can visit all the hidden gems and must-sees, and enjoy 7000 years of history.

Private tour from river cruise ship to Salzburg.

THIS is the way to really experience Salzburg! Carlos took 6 of us from our river cruise ship in Passau to Salzburg. From the Autoban to the beautiful winding roads we were able to see the Alps, the gorgeous lakes and the Sound of Music highlights much better than on a tour bus. Carlos was a wonderful host, great driver and shared so much culture, local customs and a fabulous local restaurant lunch with us. It was the highlight of our 2 week European river cruise. Thank you for sharing the day and your Austrian culture with us!

Michael was an amazing guide.He took us to the most picturesque spots with lakes and mountain tops that we could have never seen by ourselves in one day trip from our viking cruise boat.He is extremely knowledgeable 'has a great sense of humor and got us safely in time to catch our boat on time. Would highly recommend this private tour. We were 8 in our group. Comfortable in mercedes vito.
