Overview

This tour is divided into two segments – the walking part of the tour, and the driving part of the tour. On the walking part of the tour, our guides will take you through locations in Dubrovnik and have prepared a lot of behind-the-scenes stories for you. Walking tour is 2 hours long.After lunch break we continue. On the driving portion of the tour(3 hour long), you will be taken to Trsteno botanical garden(18 km outside city) and Srdj hill,dropp of is included (if it is in Dubrovnik or Cruise port). You will be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Itinerary

  • Brsalje Street

    Brsalje ul. 2, 20000, Dubrovnik, Croatia We meet by the Amerling fountain at Pile square, outside of the old town, near Dubravka restaurant, search for a Targaryen umbrella, black umbrella with red dragons- that's our meeting location.

  • Lovrjenac Fortress

    Before we start doing stairs to St Lawrence fort, you'll be shown scenes taken at King's Landing port ant Bay of Blackwatter. In Lovrijenac akk.Red Keep, after showing scenes filmed there, you will have a 10 minute break for taking photos, there is also a restroom in the fort. From top terrace we will enjoy great views on Lokrum island and City wall ( a lot of scenes were filmed there too). Have in mind there are some stairs to be taken to the top, but the guide will not rush you, pace of the tour is relaxed, but if you feel at any point you won't be able to climb to the top, let the guide know so you can rejoice with the group later. Entrance price is 50 kunas (approximately 7 euros) per person. Read less

    Our amazing old city was used as King's Landing, but you will hear few facts about Dubrovnik as well, walk on Stradun, main street used for filming of Robin Hood and Star wars as well.

    As soon as we pass the famous monument and market place,we will reach the most famous staircase in the world! In front of Bailor's sept (photoshop) we will recreate famous walk of shame!

    We end walking part of n the tour on Iron throne, some people take photos, some propose their girlfriend on the most famous chair in the world, some just buy Tyrion souvnirs:)if you started at 10 am, it is your free time until 2:30 pm.if you started at 12:30, we continue our tour in a car at 2:30 pm!

    From top of the hill you will take amazing photos of Dubrovnik,ce is and learn about scenes filmed there.

  • Trsteno Arboretum

    After visiting Hotel Belvedere we go outside Old town to Trsteno, 500- year old botanical garden akk.garden of King's Landing. After our last stop we take you back in city center or port or your hotel.

Wonderful tour taking in an entire day. Please note the 5 hours mentioned is actually 7 as there's a 2 hour break for lunch after the walking part of the experience. The guides (separate for morning and afternoon) were both incredible and the sights wonderful. You see so many GOT locations, but also take in the beauty of Dubrovnik and its surroundings.

We had the absolute pleasure of joining Katja and Marco on their Game of Thrones tour in Dubrovnik, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, their energy, knowledge, and passion for both the show and the city itself were evident. Katja brought the stories of Westeros to life with vivid detail and behind-the-scenes insights, while Marco’s historical commentary added so much depth and context to the locations—reminding us that Dubrovnik’s real history is just as epic as the fictional tales filmed there. Their use of still images to show scenes from the show at the actual filming locations was brilliant and really made the tour immersive. They struck a perfect balance between entertainment and education, weaving in fascinating facts about Dubrovnik’s architecture, culture, and history. Whether you’re a hardcore fan of Game of Thrones or just curious about the city’s heritage, this tour is a must. Thank you, Katja and Marco, for your enthusiasm, humor, and thoughtful storytelling—you made the Seven Kingdoms feel incredibly real, and gave us a whole new appreciation for Dubrovnik!

We had a fantastic time on this game of thrones tour. Katja was a costume designer on the set in Dubrovnik, she had amazing insights, really interesting. Mario did the second part of the tour in the van. He took us up to the gardens where a lot of scenes were filmed, too. It was awesome. Mario was also very passionate about the historical links, his wealth of knowledge was truly excellent. If you are a fan of this show, it is definitely worth doing.

Katja and Mario our guides were great! Both were very knowledgeable and very pleasant and entertaining as well. We learned a lot about the history of the town as well as many Game of Thrones set info. The only thing I would change is maybe just adding the price of admission for parts of the tour like City Walls and the Arboretum.
