Overview

This is easily the BEST way to experience the Cliffs of Moher from Galway. Meeting in Galway, a small group of no more than 8 will make their way via our private transportation to the village of Doolin. From there you will walk with our local guide to the Cliffs of Moher. This route is breathtaking and brought to life with the help of your captivating guide. The guide will tell you the untold stories about the cliffs while taking you to the most picturesque spots along the way. The hike ends at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Center however, we organize a taxi for everyone back to Doolin for some free time. The taxi costs €20 minimum or €5pp if there are 4 or more people on the tour. You can pay this directly to the taxi man on the day. At approximately 3:30 pm, you will be driven back to Galway in our private transportation. You will arrive back in Galway at approximately 5pm.

The Cliffs of Moher hike...

The Cliffs of Moher hike was wonderful and we stopped multiple times for pictures. The communication about what was going on after the hike could be better as some people were confused about whether we were eating lunch in town or stopping at a different town altogether.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the Cliffs of Moher through Ollie's. Our guide Dean did a great job leading us on our walk, keeping us entertained with his stories. Quite a personable guy! We also had the pleasure of being driven to/from Galway by Ollie himself. I cannot recommend them highly enough. This activity was a highlight of our holiday in Ireland. A+++

Cliffs of Moher, Experience the Trail Less Traveled.

This is a great day. Our guide Sofia was aces. It is a modest but incredibly beautiful hike that starts from the Lisdoonvarna end of the trail. We avoided the packed visitor center and began traversing some farm land. The cliffs come into view pretty quickly. There’s been a run of sunny, warm weather in Galway. Sofia is up to speed on centuries of history in the area, shared some great knowledge of complicated geology, and was expert in wildflowers and birdlife. There were not many hikers that do this route. Ollie, the owner of the tour company, masterfully coordinates transport from Galway with clients doing other day trip excursions. There is some uphill and the directions rightfully emphasis the right shoes and clothes for the coastal weather of western Ireland. Thank you Ollie and Sofia!

FANTASTIC tour to the Cliffs! I had read really positive online reviews on Ollie’s Tours while planning my trip. Ollie’s was the first tour I reserved. I had questions prior to our trip and Ollie got back to me right away. We didn’t rent a car so it was great that Ollie provided transportation from Galway to Doolin. Easy peasy! Sonia was our tour guide and she had a fun and relaxed way about her. Hiking up to the cliffs was amazing! Plenty of photo opportunities and factual tidbits that made the hike fun. After the hike, we had ample time to get a bite to eat and walk back to our pick up point. Truly a wonderful day with Ollie’s Tours! Highly recommend!!!

The highlight of my trip! The views were exquisite. Ollie made me feel very comfortable - I was feeling a little sick so we stopped at a pharmacy before, and he also arranged for his employee to bring me medicine at the end of the hike.
