Proceed with the tour as you reach Castel Gandolfo located on the top of Albano Lake! You will be amazed by the panoramic views of the countryside surrounding the volcano lake Albano.

Be ready to witness Ariccia Town! This location is famous for its local delicacy “Porchetta”, a mouthwatering Roast Pork dish! Here you will have the chance to taste this delicacy and accompany it with a delectable glass of wine.

Paolo was extremely kind and informative about our visits to Frascati, Nemi, Arricia and Castel Gandalfo. Lunch at Pagnanelli was spectacular… tour of the wine cellar and views of the lake. It was fantastic! Can’t say enough!

Giuliano was extremely knowledgeable of the several towns we visited. He a wealth of knowledge of the places and history of each. He was helpful and attentive for the entire trip.

The most bang for your buck. Our driver, Claudio, was knowledgeable and smart and importantly, was a great driver. He was patient and allowed us all the flexibility we needed at different stops and allowed us to make the decisions about where and when we go. He even helped us plan a trip to Florence the next day and suggested walking tour spots for us. It was so hopeful and we would absolutely recommend this trip!
You will not regret going to this trip!

Great sights to see with little tourists around. In this day and age where Rome is constantly packed with people, it's wonderful to be able to leave the crowded city for beautiful and serene lake view and good food

Four lady friends spent our last full day in Rome together with very friendly driver Giuliano. He took us in a classy, roomy and comfortable vehicle to Frascati, a historic Abbey,Nemi, and Castel Gondolfo. These areas frame the beautiful Lake Albano. The day started with a pickup location in Trastevere where we were staying. On the way out of Rome Giuliano spoke to us about sights and history all along the way. In Frascati we had time to walk the little town and find Cappuccino’s at a cute cafe. He then took us to the Monastery of Santa Maria di Grottaferrata. A monastery from the 10th century. Inside the chapel it was amazingly beautiful. Afterwards we drove to the picturesque town of Nemi, famous for its wild strawberries. We enjoyed sampling strawberry liquor, pastries, and delicious wine all while overlooking Lake Albano. Then he took us to the Castel Gondolfo side of the lake where we spent two lovely hours at Restaurant Pagnanelli. We had a tour of their impressive 35,000 bottle wine cellar complete with all things antique and vintage wine pieces. Then a delicious lunch and local red wine on their terrace overlooking the lake. On the way back to Rome we requested to stop near the Colosseum to take a few photos and he was happy to oblige. It was the perfect way to end our incredible Mediterranean vacation. Giuliano you’re most welcome to visit us in Minnesota, I would love to host a visit with you and show you our beautiful state in the Midwest USA!
