Overview

Join a local historian and PhD student, for an excursion down one of Cambridge’s most scenic and peaceful walks; the Backs.  Incidentally, the Backs is the area that runs along many of Cambridge’s famous colleges, is studded with beautiful architecture, a quaint wooden bridge, sprawling green spaces, and quirky stories.  On this private socially-distanced guide, we’ll begin the tour alongside the iconic river at Scudamore's Quayside Walk, over the wooden bridge of Silver Street, and immerse yourself in Cambridge's history, architectural highlights and moving stories.                    Experience iconic key attractions, such as the magnificent views of King's College and its Chapel, Queens College and the Mathematical Bridge. Finish the tour by visiting the beautiful Clare College to cap off this cultural and historic adventure in this must-see picturesque city.  Note: This is a self-guided audio walking tour and does not include entrance tickets

Short walk in Cambridge history from the other side.

Great tour, pleasant to listen, balanced content from historical facts to side stories, form of dialogue between interviewer and professional. Great to experience Cambridge history set in meadows. Yet relatively pricey in my opinion as it included 6 stops by about 5 minutes each.

Really nice way to discover Cambridge away from the crowded (sometimes boring) standard guided tours. I was not sure what to expect first but this is definitely a great app to discover new places and learn interesting facts! It is like having a private tour guide by your side that you can take with you everywhere and turn off/on when you wish;) Would definitely recommend it for Cambridge and try the app myself in other places!
