Overview

Sit back, relax and enjoy the views from the comfort of your own punt. Your private chauffeured punt tour for up to 12 people will last for approximately 50 minutes and cover the college "Backs". Whilst punting your chauffeur will provide and interesting an informative tour. During the tour you will pass famous sights including Kings College Chapel, The Bridge of Sighs, The Wren Library, New Court St Johns and the Mathematical Bridge. Punting is a very relaxing way to see the seven riparian Cambridge University colleges which are steeped in fascinating history and the majestic Kings College chapel which provides the most iconic visual imagery for one of the most esteemed educational institutions in the world. COVID-19 - Under current guidelines groups should be a maximum of 6 unless all of the same households. Boats are fitted with perspex screens to meet social distancing guidelines.

    The turning point of the chauffeured punting tour is Queens College & the Mathematical Bridge.

  • The Backs (Pass By)

    The Chauffuered Punting tour passes through the famous colleges backs. This is a stretch of water just under 1 mile long which passes 7 riverside colleges.

  • The River Cam

    The tour is on the River Cam in Cambrdge and lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Pleasant river trip on a private punt

We reserved a private punt and enjoyed the space and personal attention of our guide Lise made We had done a walking tour prior to punting and it was good to know the detail about sights before reaching them on punt.

I took my partner for a private punting tour for his birthday. It was a great experience. Our guide was lovely and since it was the two of us, asked us how much tour information we wanted. We asked for the highlights, which meant we got some key history of the area, but also time to just soak up the views in peace. It was a really great experience and would definitely recommend doing this!

Great experience with George as our punter. Very informative story telling, steady ride, and good personality representing the city. We were a bit rush to be at the meeting point cos the (two different) Ubers dropped our family in different locations. We were prepared for the trip to be cut short but they tried their best to give a good experience without rushing. Even the lady at the reception (sorry didn’t get her name) was all smiley. We saw the other punts used the same route so I guess what made the difference has to be the attitude and professionalism of the team. And we were lucky cos George is amazing.
