Overview

Bring a little excitement to your vacation with our night kayaking tour in the Bio Bay of Laguna Grande Reserve in Fajardo. The Bio Bay has microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates that produce a glowing effect when they are stirred by our paddles. What should I wear? Come prepared to get wet from your waist down. Lightweight, synthetic clothing or a swimsuit is the best. Do not walk bare foot on the beach for safety reasons. What to bring? Change of clothes, towel and mosquito repellent (just in case!). You can bring cameras only with water proof bag or water proof case. What not to bring or wear? Jeans or sweats. Don’t bring any valuables you don’t want to get wet, lose or damage. Storage available? Yes, Anything you bring on the water has the potential to get wet, damage or lost. - An Eco-Adventure – For outdoor enthusiast and nature lovers only. - Chance to experience the glow of bioluminescent water. - Live-commentary about the Ecosystem in English or Spanish.

The excursion from start to finish was awesome. The Driver picked us up at El San Juan Hotel was on time and super friendly. The experience was great from the people at the booth to the guides were awesome!! Good time had by all.

Capts Niche and Emily were very knowledgeable, fun, and made the experience awesome. The bioluminescence were amazing to see. Like little fireworks in the water. 10/10

Super Experience with Excellent Guides

Super experience I recommend for anyone visiting PR! The bioluminescence is awesome. There was a full moon that made paddling through the mangrove forest even better. Our guide team - Nichi, Joe and Sammy - were highly enthusiastic, clearly knowledgeable and capable. They made the trip enjoyable for everyone, even those with no previous kayaking skills. The transportation team was efficient and kept us updated on schedule and made it easy for pickup and dropoff.

Seeing the bioluminescence in the bay was fun but you could really see it on the way back through the mangroves. The guides were great - Emily, Joe, and the rest.
