TBH, I didn't really know what to expect of this tour as it was booked by another member of our party but boy were we not disappointed. Arthur's tour is the story of the "troubles" as it really was. From the get go, it's obvious he's incredibly knowledgable and passionate and tells it like it is, warts and all. The 3 hour tour flies by, taking in a lot of the sites made infamous during those times. Some of it is graphic, for which Arthur quite rightly makes no apologies, but even for someone who grew up during the period, it was an eye-opening experience when hearing the other side of the story the media seemingly failed to report. It's not all doom and gloom though, Arthur talks passionately about how the city has re-invented itself through things like music and tourism.
If you want to learn about the real recent history of Belfast, get yourself booked on this tour, you won't be disappointed.
