Overview

Embark on a a captivating day trip through South Australia’s premium wine region, to sample some of the Barossa’s finest wines, including the world famous Jacobs Creek Winery. Indulge in a sumptuous 2 course lunch at Lambert Estate, then wind your way through to the picturesque Adelaide Hills to Hahndorf, Australia's oldest German settlement. Enjoy a visit at Beerenberg Farm Shop, before taking a leisurely stroll the main street of Hahndorf and explore the many shops and galleries, full of local arts, crafts and produce.

    Your first stop is at the multi-award winning Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre where you will have the opportunity to sample their famous wines in a structured tasting, take a tour of the surrounding vines and cellar door and enjoy morning tea as you overlook the vineyards.

    Take a photo opportunity stop at Mengler Hill Lookout, to admire the sweeping views over the valley.

  • Lambert Estate

    Enjoy a delicious two course lunch at Lambert Estate

  • The Herbig Family Tree

    In the afternoon you will journey your way through the picturesque Adelaide Hills where you will have a short stop at the Herbig Family Tree at Springton. This hollow tree trunk provided a ‘home’ for Friedrich & Caroline Herbig and two of their 16 children until 1860.

  • Beerenberg Farm

    Stop at Beerenberg Farm Shop, where you will have time to purchase souvenirs from their entire range of products .

  • Hahndorf

    On arrival into Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest German settlement, you will have free time to explore Hahndorf’s main street with many shops and galleries full of local arts, crafts and produce and pubs where you can sample some German Beers.

Long day starting at 9 and finish 5.30 Paul our guide was informative so expect an entertaining day. Wine tasting ok however lunch was excellent.

Fantastic day out. Lots of fun. lots of great local knowledge. Roger was a great driver and host. The lunch provided was amazing.

The trip was just right. Lovely scenery, we stopped at Jacob Creek winery, tastings and delicious morning tea, then Lamberts for lunch including wine tastings. The 2 course lunch was superb. Hahndorf was delightful and seeing koalas in the wild on the return to Adelaide a real highlight. Thank you to our wonderful driver Peter.
