This tour takes participants on a sensory interactive gourmet experience, giving them a unique opportunity to try a range of delicious samples that represent the premium food grown and produced both in Adelaide and regional South Australia. Meet some locals, enjoy their hospitality and discover the true South Australia. On this tour customers interact with stall holders and get to hear about food supply chain and where their food comes from. As your tour guides take visitors around the market they will begin to learn migration history of South Australia and the important influence these migration patterns have had on food markets, produce and restaurants.

Good introduction to food culture in Adelaide

Good introduction to Adelaide. Broni was very knowledgeable on the market and its history. She knew most of the store holders and arranged tastings of yummy food.

Amazing! Ww lucked out with a very small group - just US! ... however Steph was a great host, the background and knowledge was deep and she delivered the tour with heaps of enthusiasm. We discovered bits of the market we had never tried, even as "locals" we learnt heaps .. can't recommend this highly enough. And my hot tip is go to the market on a Tuesday morning, it's so clean and relaxing ... a wonderful time.

We loved the tour with Broni on which we got to sample unusual foods etc and learnt about the history of various stallholders. It was so worth it - compared to wandering around the markets on one’s own and being overwhelmed.

Highly Enjoyable Tour

I took a highly enjoyable tour of the Adelaide Central Market with Broni as our guide. There were 5 people in the group, which was a perfect size. Broni was extremely knowledgeable about not only the market and its history but also Adelaide and gave us tips about the city and getting around. We toured the entire market and had many tastes, and when we were curious about stalls and delicacies that weren't on the tour, she stopped and answered those questions too. She clearly knew most of the proprietors and sellers and made it a great experience.
