Overview

Our tour focuses on making social impact on local communities. We hire skillful floral artisans from nearby communities, where many residents could not afford English language classes. Teaching floral handicraft to foreign guests is their opportunity to learn English and earn income at the same time. On the other hand, we offer a hands-on workshop which you will need to stab many Thai jasmines into a skewer. It is very challenging to “not losing track”, i.e. to align the top flower with the bottom one throughout a skewer. Here are the highlights of our tour: 1. Walk in the flower market to explore numerous flower selections. 2. Lotus folding workshop with a local seller. 3. Visit Kalayanamitr Temple, a smoothing blend of Thai and Chinese Buddhism. 4. 90 minutes of floral workshop (Garland & Bai Si) with Thai artisans. 5. Visit Baan Kudi Chin Museum, the learning place about Siam–Portuguese lineage.

My parents and I recently participated in Thailand Insight Travel's Bangkok Flower Market tour and it was excellent. Our tour guide, Nina, was knowledgeable, courteous, and spoke great English. My parents are on the older side, so she was very attentive and accommodating to them as well. The tour took us through Bangkok's bustling flower market and involved some fun activities making garlands as well as folding lotus flowers. We also visited several temples and explored a quaint neighborhood on the other side of the river. It lasted about six hours. Highly recommended.

Great visit to the flower market, temples and places where we never would have gone on our own. Lin is an exceptional good guide. She is very knowledgeable and can explain historical topics simple, understandable and with a lot of passion. We really enjoyed the half day with Lin and would recommend it to every, even if you are not a flower lover as there are so much other things to see. Thank you!
