Meeting points

We're 50 minutes from Palermo. The meeting point is near the exit/entrance of the highway in Balestrate. We can Pick you up ( Is an extra service)or take the bus from Palermo to Alcamo; from Alcamo, it's just a 15-minute car ride to our place.

Itinerary

Experience the beauty of the Sicilian countryside through a timeless sensory journey. Francesco, winemaker and olive oil producer will guide you through the artisanal production of extra virgin olive during an immersive walk in the olive grove in Balestrate. After the tour, we'll enjoy a tasting session featuring our wines, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegars, accompanied by a selection of traditional Sicilian dishes. The tasting will take place in a typical Sicilian house with Francesco's grandparents in attendance, sharing stories of this enchanting part of Sicily.

Authentic, informative, and delicious!

We had a lovely tour and learned so much about olive oil making and the different products of Sicily. The oil, wine, and balsamic we tasted was all excellent and our host Francesco and his family was so kind, welcoming, and gave us an authentic and one of a kind experience of Sicily. Would highly recommend to any traveller!

We had the most amazing time during our wine and olive oil tasting. Francesco is an amazing host and provided a lot of information throughout the tasting. Having the tasting together with is grandparents was the cherry on top. I cannot recommend this tour enough if your are looking for a truly unique experience.

This was a terrific olive oil & wine tasting tour. Our guide was informative and interesting. The luncheon with olive oil & wine pairing was quaint as it involved home cooking at the grandparents home , prepared by the Nonna . This is a tour you won’t regret.

We really enjoyed our time with Francesco. He was incredibly knowledgible about the olive oil production process and the farming techniques. The visit to his grandparent’s home and the olive oil and wine tasting was informative and delicious. Grandma and grandpa were wonderful hosts and the light lunch was more than enough to get to know and enjoy some traditional Sicilian dishes. We would highly recommend that you consider this tour during your travels to Sicily
