Take a guided tour of the Wine Discovery Journey. Uncover the diversity of Australia’s 65 wine regions and meet some of the wonderful characters of the industry. Learn how to blend your own award-winning wine with our virtual blending simulator and discover the key characteristics of the key wine varieties grown throughout the country.

The National Wine Centre is next to Adelaide's Botanic Gardens in the north east corner of the city centre. Take a scenic walk through the Botanic Gardens and enter either via the pedestrian entrance on Botanic Road,the extension to North Terrace or from our main entrance on Hackney Road.

Great experience to learn more about Australian wine

I had a fantastic tour of the centre with Maria Rubiano. I was lucky enough to come when it was quiet and had a 1:1 tour. Maria was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Maria also listened to my preferences and tailored my tasting (as much as she could). Would definitely recommend this tour for those wanting to learn more about Australian wines.

Great experience- guide was great and the small group was relaxed and able to ask questions. Really enjoyed it and then did some self paced tasting in the main tasting area- great value! Recommended

An informative intro to the Australian wine making industry

This visit was taken before a series of cellar door visits the following day. Well worth doing in that order to get a better understanding of the industry and wine making process before the important part - the tasting at the vineyards. Information well presented, informative and interesting. A friendly welcome and nothing too much trouble

A fun wine tasting experience in the city

Our guide, Maria had such an extensive wine knowledge, and professionally presented herself, and explained to us about Australian wine & history. It was very interesting and enjoyed myself until the end of the tour. A wine tasting session was very good too. Three different types of wine were absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this to everyone.
