Overview

Join the fun on the Athabasca River for a unique perspective of Jasper National Park. Our 2-3 hour round trip passes through many small sets of rapids and calm stretches, which allows your National Park licensed guide to point out the natural and human history of Jasper. This float trip is safe for the whole family, from toddlers and grandparents to swimmers and non-swimmers alike. Rivers are rated on a scale of one to six. Class 1 is considered to be calm moving water while a class 6 would be equivalent to Niagara Falls. The section of the Athabasca River that this tour rafts on is rated a Class 2; meaning that there are some sections with rapids, which may get your backside wet.

Bring the entire family and join us for a unique perspective of Jasper National Park, a **UNESCO World Heritage Site**. Our 2-3 hour round trip (transportation time included) passes through many small sets of rapids and calm stretches, which allows your National Park Licensed guide to point out the natural and human history of Jasper. *The Athabasca River is the same route that was used by the “fur traders” many years ago, (David Thompson 1811).*

Refreshing and Scenic Raft Ride Along the Athabasca River

This was a wonderful way to enjoy Athabasca river. We had a wonderful guide Zach from Adelaide, Australia. He not only navigated the raft but also kept us entertained throughout the 1 hour trip down the river. His sense of humor was just amazing- we were laughing throughout the trip. This is great for families- Zach ensured all of us got splashed with "refreshing" glacial waters of Athabasca river. A very memorable trip indeed!
