Overview

A visit to the rugged, bold west! Hear the stories of the sometimes violent and storied past of Tucson. Walk where the outlaws and those who struggled to keep the peace walked. Belly up to the Bar at Big Nose Kate's Saloon, and venture into the caverns of the Good Enough Mine Tour. Experience the excitement at the reenactment of the gunfight at the OK Corral! Find out how the University of Arizona almost didn't happen, but a Saloon owner and 2 gamblers saved the day! Learn about the Apache Indians and their reputation as pirates of the desert, and their raiding, pillaging, ruthless ways. View the exquisite White Dove of the Desert and see where the Dillinger Gang was captured in the 1930s and so much more!

Itinerary

  • Mission San Xavier del Bac

    A Stop at San Xavier Mission built when Southern Arizona was still a part of Spanish Territory. We will visit the spectacular Church and wander into the open-air Tohono O'odam Indian Shops scattered around the Mission and shop the collection of Indian art and novelties.

  • Presidio San Agustin Del Tucson Museum (Pass By)

    See the location of the Presidio in present day downtown Tucson. The origin of the city and where the name Tucson came from.

  • St. Augustine Cathedral (Pass By)

    We will pass by Historic Hotel Congress, the St. Augustine Cathedral and A Mountain. We will view the magnificent Cathedral built in the late 1800's and discover an Indian Village at the base of A mountain and find out why a young Indian boy would be tapped to make the journey to the top every day to keep sentinel.

  • Tombstone

    We will go to the site of the most famous gunfight of the old west… the Shootout at the OK Corral. Watch the reenactment… belly up to the Bar at The Oriental Saloon, chill with live country music at Big Nose Kate’s, ride in a stagecoach or tour the Good Enough Silver Mine. So many attractions so much to see!

Nice meal and pleasant servers.

Back to the Border Gate to night and the Sirloin Steak was very nice. The server Amelia was friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem to her.

We ended up with a private tour because no one else signed up for our day. Mike was great. We learned a lot and got a great overview of Tucson, loved seeing San Xavier and enjoyed Tombstone.

Loved it, worth the cost. I enjoyed the gunfight at "The OK Coral". Such fun. Our guide, Mike was very knowledgeable and dispelled quite a few unsubstainiated facts.

The Sisters Day in the Wild West!

Our tour guide, Taffy, was so informative and kept the pace of the day exciting and well as educational. Our tour group included a wide variety of ages with very young children as well as a senior citizen (me). She was able to entertain us all and I must say the children were as intrigued as we were all day. That’s takes a very gifted tour guide! Thank you, Taffy!

My sister and I enjoyed the ease of this trip from booking online to the short wait time to be picked up for the Tour! St. Xavier Del Bac was Beautiful beyond words.. and Tombstone wasn't too crowded the day we went. The history there is just amazing.. Also, our Tour Driver, Mike, was soo knowledgeable and had the greatest stories of the places we toured, it really made us excited to be able to visit these legendary places in person
