Caring crew made a tough voyage way better!

We went on a rough day - had booked well ahead and could not change the date because of OUR schedule. So we went for it…crazy rough seas and relentless rain greeted us at sea and one land. The staff of the ferry boat was safety first and very caring. I do not get sea sick, but many people on the boat did (conductions) and they went above and beyond to help people and take care of them. It was wonderful to see. As for the tour itself - perfect amount of time on the island and drive by of the cliffs. It’s a long day and a lot of time on a boat, but it was well worth it.

We visited the Aran islands with Aran Ferries. The weather wasn’t very cooperative but the crew was great . We did a bus tour across Inis Mor with Michael Faherty. He was a great tour guide. The fort on the island had impressive views. Definitely worth a visit.

The weather was gorgeous! We had a great time exploring Inismor and were able to enjoy climbing up to the fort. The boat ride was smooth and the views were beautiful.

Best way to see the Cliffs of Moher

This is the absolute best way to see the Cliffs. It’s a long day but totally worth it. The crew is friendly and helpful. Do get there early to snag the best seats, especially on the way back to Galway to see the cliffs. Also be sure to get a map on Innishmore before you go. 4 hours isn’t as long as you think to see the island.

A great day out

We were lucky to have gorgeous weather for our trip. The ride out to Inis Mor was fine. We then had about 4 hours on the island. We chose to walk to Dun Duchathair, the Black Fort, which was a stunning walk but hard underfoot. There we found ruins of an ancient stone fort on high cliffs. It was spectacular! We then had lunch at the Bayview Restaurant which I would highly recommend. Back on the boat, which sailed back to Galway via the Cliffs of Moher. We have walked on the top before, but the view from the sea was very interesting. The boat was very busy, so if you wanted to get a seat on the top, you have to queue early!
