A Glimpse into Valencian Cuisine

We had a great time learning to make sangria, ajoblanco (the best we’ve had), and Valencian coffee. It was a wholesome experience with my partner. I highly recommend this to other couples and small groups of friends!

We had a wonderful time and experience spending g the afternoon with Jose. Great food and drink and we enjoyed learning proper techniques. We all enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend for those who want a personalized and one of a kind experience.

A fun, delicious and memorable cooking class!

Jose hosted the Paella and Tapas cooking class in his home for my cousin and I and our husbands. He was prompt in meeting us at a nearby museum and from there we walked to his apartment; he had already done the shopping. It was a leisurely evening (over 4 hours) and Jose was so patient and detailed, teaching us technique as we all assisted in preparing an appetizer, sangria and the paella. (He also served us vermouth, wine, and dessert- all wonderful.) It was a very relaxed atmosphere and Jose was very candid in sharing his professional experience and information about life in Valencia. (He also accommodated a schedule change when our itinerary was changed by our airline and was excellent in communicating with us via email and text prior to the class.) Jose was a gracious host and it was truly a fun and delicious evening! If you are interested in an intimate setting, and spending time with a local chef to prepare an authentic paella then this class is for you. It was a special experience and a memorable evening. We wholeheartedly recommend.

Chef Jose is so much fun! Actually go and cook with him in his kitchen. We made sangria, tapas and a true Valèncian paella. You don’t have to be an experienced cook to have a good time. Jose is super organized and engaging. We truly enjoyed our time with him and a really sweet Spanish couple who did the experience with us.

A must do Valencia experience!

Chef Jose was phenomenal- very charismatic and passionate about exposing us to authentic Valencia cuisine and culture. We had a great time learning how to make incredible courses- the techniques were first class and the end result mouth watering. Would absolutely recommend him! Thank you chef!
